Cozy Canopy Latch Issues

Some of us who have the per-plans side-opening canopy, have run into latch handle interference problems when we also install a tall, multi-function control stick grip... In my case, a Tosten Mfg. CS-8. - which I love! Here's one way to resolve the problem. Perhaps some of you can make use of these ideas, and perhaps offer improvement ideas in the comments below.

Great Job Greg. I Subscribed to your channel also. Whatever you do. Make sure that latch is firmly secure before flight. We had an in flight cockpit opening last year. Its one of those things you will never forget. I am building mine with the forward hinge design as a result of that experience. Thanks for your help!
