I’m the same as you where I love to go back to middle grade stories in the autumn! I also steer more towards fantasy like Harry Potter and narnia in those times. At the moment I’m re reading the hobbit, that’s a lovely atmospheric fantasy that I read when I was younger & you’ve encouraged me to pick up the narnia books too, I’ve never read them before but loved the films when I was little, thanks for the good recs! Loved this video xx

A bunch of us read The Thursday Murder Club in a book club, half of us really enjoyed it, the other half felt it was only an okay read BUT despite that went on to read the second book and thought it was even better. I personally thought the first book was great, so I look forward to continuing in the series. FYI, the characters don't live in a nursing home, they live in a retirement village.
