Think of how many old people live alone and hardly see or speak to another person, and what a tremendous difference it would make to both your lives. Imagine the stories and history you'd learn. I just wanted to share my story (sorry for the novel haha!), just to say how much these videos mean to me. I'm a 21-year-old student living with my family, in a really toxic home environment, and failing my degree. I suffer from PTSD due to an experience at university, chronic insomnia, depression and anxiety. Today I finally woke up at 3pm after having bouts of sleep paralysis throughout the morning after falling asleep at 5am. I get condemned for being lazy, stupid and that much of my problems are self-inflicted. For someone who has no escape, these small havens are the only things that make me feel safe and reassured when I am extremely lonely. I've always loved soundscapes etc, but never knew people made these video on KZbin! People who make these are a special kind of blessed. I've never commented on these videos before but reading the comment section made me really want to express my appreciation. I hope everyone out there feels warm, safe and content.

I sincerely hope you feel better. Medication helps me as do these tranquil interiors. Also another ambient sound and visual I wonder if you might like and that is being on a train in the engine with full front cabin view. Sometimes I open two media players and turn the sound off of one so as to put my own play list to go with it. Modern technology gives us mind enhancing possibilities toward positive experiences, many of them of the inner quality. "Bababouy" has a nice run to the Norwegian Arctic circle - real nice and good ambient sound too. You can even hear the rain on the windshield. Best of luck

Hello, stranger on the internet😊It's been one year since you left this comment, so I hope things have improved. If not, that's okay, take your time and try not to listen to anyone calling you lazy etc. (I assume these people are family members?) I also suffered a mental breakdown in the 2nd year of uni (19 y.o.) and was hospitalized, but now that I'm almost 25 and going to graduate in 2023, I honestly feel soo much better! Medication and a good therapist can do wonders...While you may not be able to picture yourself happy in the future, keep in my mind this is your mental illness talking. I know dealing with toxic parents is hard, especially when you are not financially independent, but please hang in the there. Surround yourself with people who truly love you and support you, find an activity you enjoy (perhaps a sport or something creative?) and the bad days won't seem so unbearable anymore. You are stronger than you think❤

I agree with other people that this is perfect and so soothing and the fire noises do not dominate as in many similar videos. omg---i almost want to cry. This cabin, just from the small area I can see here, would be my dream home. I can just picture a small vegetable garden and a flower garden out in the back. Of course there'd be a barn as well in the cleared area of the woods and I'd have two horses, some geese, ducks and MAYBE goats. Goats are so much fun but eat everything in sight! I'd have dogs and cats cause my life is sadly lived without them now as I no longer have my own residence. I'm dreaming of happy days and nights in a home of my own...finally. *sigh!*

I have been sitting here looking at it full screen on my desktop monitor. Your attention to detail is amazing. I found myself wanting to browse through the bookshelf, sit down with my choice, then relax on the chair with the fireplace to the side of me and the rain falling tapping the window behind me. You did a flawless job of mixing the audio for this. I love how you buried the sound of the clock; very subtle. Also, the transients created by the fire crackles are smooth, and mixed at low volume. And the moving details make it so real; the steam from the cauldron, rain on the window, the roaring fire in the fireplace, and the grandfather clock pendulum swinging hypnotically back and forth. (I would slow it down just a bit myself but it's wonderful.) The contrast between the rainy day outside and this cozy house inside is so nice to just leave playing on the TV in the evenings while I'm reading my book.

I so feel for you. 😔 Try one hour of intense, aerobic exercise first thing in the a.m. (something that makes you sweat), then a hot, steaming shower, then go about your day. I have walked your walk for 45 years. My suggestion helps to really take the edge off of both conditions.
