I binged silent voice online. I loved it so much. I never seen the movie but I bet trying to put 7 volumes in one movie wouldn't be good. The bullying is intense and it made me cry as I went on in each volume.

I don't believe he bullies because he has no father figure... I believe he bullies as a way of not "losing" his friends the same way that his dad walk away because they were starting to not wanting to hang out with him until he started bullying the girl and got their interest back up. I always feel sad for him not knowing what to do and having to use violence as a resource AND I still don't feel like that makes up for what he did although he suffered a lot from it. I actually already read the seven volumes of A silent voice and I loved this manga series so I hope you enjoy it!

I highly recommend “Kingdom”! It’s a Korean Historical drama with zombies! It’s on Netflix and there’s currently only 6 episodes but its so so good! They said they will start filming season 2 this month and I’m impatiently waiting for it lol
