I saw this performance in Nuremberg West Germany at Hemmerleinehalle in January, 1983. They used smoke machines on stage, with the lights. One of the best drum solos I ever heard.

It is so important to be able to listen and play sympathetically as a drummer and this is a classic example of how it should be done!

The Dambusters raid was on several dams in Germany, and was a real WW2 mission. 633 squadron was a film about a fictional raid on a V2 rocket fuel plant in Norway ;)
Cozy Powell e John Bonham eram amigos. John Bonham influenciou principalmente pela fúria em palco. Tenho uma entrevista onde o Cozy Powell afirma isso.

Gerard Ball Billy Cobham played, and is credited with creating, the double bass shuffle on the track Quadrant 4 from his 1973 album Spectrum. Heavily influenced by Cobham, Simon Phillips would play a similar shuffle (and in 7/4) on Space Boogie from Jeff Beck's 1980 album There & Back. Both tracks are smokin!

Whitesnake is lame but Cozy Powell is one of the best fucking drummers of all time. He's way too good to be in that band. Would've been nice to hear him do this in his Black Sabbath days.
