Hi Jen & readers. You won’t believe this. I watched the cosy book club vid yesterday & remembered how much I wanted to read Larkrise to Candleford. I walked into our local charity shop today here in Australia & there it was in the front window. A hardcover in a slipcase! I am meant to join the cosy book club. I love your channel, Jen.

Good interview! Although I won’t be joining your book club, I think it’s a fabulous idea and I wish you every success. Thanks for introducing Rebecca to us. I’m now inspired to read Elizabeth Goudge’s “The Scent of Water.” I’ll pop over to Rebecca’s channel later to see her book club video. Thanks, Jen and Rebecca!😄

I’m interested in joining. Thanks! I’ll probably join in on months when there’s a book that I want to read, as my queue is already too long. I recommend a D. E. Stevenson book for September. Maybe Celia’s House, as that’s on my list. Iris in Winter would be a fun December read, it was my first Elizabeth Cadell and was so entertaining.

Oh, by the way, thanks for the nudge to read Heidi, I can't believe I haven't - especially since Johanna Spyri's home and museum is only a 15 minute bus ride from me, in Hirzel. Her birthday was this week, June 12th! She lived in Zurich as an adult. Now I just need to find a beautiful copy like yours :)

I’d love to join. Just wondering-I looked up the June Wendell Berry book “Hannah Coulter” and I see it’s the 3rd in a series. I don’t remember if that was mentioned? Is it okay to be a stand alone?

I just now was able to listen to this, your cozy choices resonate with me, for sure. Right now I am rereading Coming Home, toggling between print and audio. I also adore Judith Dunbar, and the way R.Pilcher tells her story. I don't think I can join your cozy book club, but I am glad to know of it, should my schedule allow for it in future. Thanks, Jen!

So wonderful!! Nicely done ladies! I would love to join y'all! I'm so excited!! Please count me in! On a different note and nothing to do with the topic of this video...Jen, I've been meaning to write you and ask you about a book I see on the shelf behind your right shoulder. Have you read The Eighth Life? I see it on your shelf and have recently heard several different people randomly mention that book! I know it's a chunker but don't know much more about it. What can you tell me about it? Thank you so much! Can't wait for book club!

Wonderful! Can you email me at jensreadinglife [at] gmail.com and I will get you added to our mailing list? I haven't read The Eighth Life yet but need to. It sounds wonderful but it is a HEFTY book! All I know is it is about a Russian family over the course of generations beginning in the early 1900's. I feel like it might be one of those books I need to read with other people for accountability due to it's length. Maybe I will set up a group read for it early next year!

I was surprised to see The Woman in White on your cozy agenda. I categorize it as a horror story; tense, chilling, and emotive. Perhaps read for its historical value in the development of mystery/detective stories along with The Leavenworth Case by Anna Katharine Green (1878), but cozy?

I have the Country Diary Of An Edwardian Lady. LOVE it! Also have the biography of her. Haven't read that yet. I don't think I'll be joining for various reasons, surgery, and P.T. for possibly months after, being one. Many of the bks. mentioned I would never consider "cozy". So I was a little confused. I guess any bk. could be cozy if you curled up in front of a fire. I have never heard Emilie Wildes bks. referred to as " cozy". So many of the titles confused me. A long time ago I heard definitions about "cozy" bks. If everyone has their own opinion, then that's kind of a "misnomer" (sp?). For example Sci-Fy, Thrillers, Poetry, Historical Fiction, Fantasy most people have set ideas/ titles in mind when title or review mentioned. Not criticizing. Just confused me for mostly Rebecca's definition. Want to read some mentioned. On another note; do you have a discount store in Ca. named OLLIE'S? We do here and today I went there to buy 1 or 2 bks. and an adult coloring bk. to take to hospital. Got myself in trouble AGAIN!! Bought a set of 8 children's Caldecort Medal stories, I never read as child. Beautiful boxed set for $10! A couple classics, 1 christian novel, (2.99), The Island Of Sea Women by Lisa See ($3.99), a chunked 748 pgs. titled A New York Winter's Tale (said made I to a movie) for $3.99!! Two bks. of short story collections by great authors, all different; for $4.99, a YA "Aim" for $2.99 sounds really good possibly like The Bridge Of Teribithia; no deaths I don't think. Another YA "Which Way Is Home" for $3.99 sounds very good. Two other bks. the same, 1 for me, 1 for my neighbor. for $3.99 ea. Plus some snake for ALL this reading while recouping. Didn't NEED ANY for recouping...but you understand, Jen. 🤗🤗 Thanks!
