The only indoor cat I have left is Dotson. He got his name because his mom was Dot (from a white spot on her black body). He’s Dot’s son. There are several who come to the house for free food. They are named after physical characteristics. Thanks for all the content lately.

I've been feeling demoralized and depressed since Tuesday and very angry towards my fellow Americans who are willingly in a cult and forcing the rest of us to live in more traumatic times. My cat's name is Tosca, and that doesn't follow the naming categories! Tosca is the name of an Italian opera, which makes him sound all fancy, but I first heard of the name from season one of the TV/documentary show Meerkat Manor. He's an orange boy, so definitely less opera and more "reality TV" lol

I had no choice as well TT we found three kittens in our chicken house, and my cat passed away the same summer, so we kept them... now I have 3 cats in the house and am amazed how much of cat is that. Their names are Caravaggio, Migotka (Twinkle [femininie], but it's the polish name of Snorkmaiden from Moomins), and Mercutio

My family has had three cats over the years, but they were all already named when we got them. - Redster: orange cat and the previous owner was a fan of skiing -Biscotte: small but feisty girl -Grace Kelly: graceful gal (we called her Grace or petite patate. She was so tiny) Starter Villain sounds good! I’ll check it out from the library. I gave The Kaiju Preservation Society 3.5 rounded up, it was a good time. My brother has been obsessed with dates lately so I’ll definitely take that rec. Thanks! Also it’s always nice to eat local (I’m from the Montréal region). If you want a cute series to read that is cozy with a small town, has a cat, and has magic, I'd recommend Lynn Cahoon's Kitchen Witch series. There are six books out right now, with 3 of them actually being novellas. The first actual book is the novella "Chili Cauldron Curse". They are very readable, though sometimes she has some plot holes or grammar issues but overall have been flying through the series.

It’s such a “hear me out” series: my friend read it because someone else said it was good, and then she passed it on to me and said “just trust me.” I absolutely wouldn’t have tried it otherwise. But Pacat is just an extremely good writer. Her YA series Dark Rise is also very good so far and more… I guess palatable?

With this particular Scalzi's book I also prefer the cozy over the action, by far! I'm not much of a villain-spy person. But the cats, I loved them so much. I have two needy balls of fur at home as well as three strays that we take care of ans just roam outside, and they are life savers (crazy cat lady alert). Oh, I just noticed. Have you given up on earrings? I hope it was by choice and not due to pain or similar! Love your videos :) They're always cozy, intentionally or not 😊

My cats have all been Star Wars or musicals. Yoda, Luke, & Leia and then Annie (little orphan Annie) and then Evvie (Evita). Future kitties may not keep the musicals theme but instead the double consonant and IE ending since we'll probably get boys in the future since two girls is the max you can have in a household without major chaos past kittenhood.

So my dogs: Lazarus (biblical) Tazzer (weapon, I just wanted it spelled differently) Anakin (Star Wars) Cats: Kitsune (mythical) Lukai ( a name I pieced together part Greek/hawaiian meaning light of the sea. -he is a flame point Siamese with only one eye and it’s the prettiest blue!)

there is this series called the Mother of learning by nobody103 and the main character is stuck in a timeloop! its 4 books and for the first one, it mainly focuses on him trying to find out whats happening but eventually he's using it to his advantage to learn more magic and stuff BUT LISTENNNN, I'm in the last book and its still not boring!!!! obviously book 4 is focusing on how to get out and the author has released the book online, like in a webnovel site so yes its freee. idk if this will help but i saw the Internet archive website having the audiobooks but I'm not sure of that would be considered piracy or if it's free but do what you will with that knowledge 💙

We tend to name our cats based on any recent movies, shows or media we have consumed. So we have Mugi who we found after watching Zoolander, Romy who we found after watching Romy and Michele's high school reunion, we named Benedict after watching Dr. Strange, Amy after Amy Adams, though I forgot what we were watching with her at the time, Dirk, because of the Dallas Mavericks, Mark because of the disaster artist "Oh hi Mark!", Kitana after mortal combats Katana. Also we name out of laziness lol. Kitty became Katy(my beautiful soul kitty 😢), we had found 3 kittens we weren't planning to keep so we named them Nene, Nena and Rubia(Boy, Girl, Blondie), ended up keeping Nene, we have a tortie named Tortie aka Tortellini aka Torta(cake) aka Tortilla, and a Tabby named Abby and I had a Mia(mine) my other soul kitty 😢.

Oh I had a Maurice named after his meow, his mom was Tiffany, don't remember why. Also Amy's siblings were Luca(Dallas Mavs again) and Sophie after Sophie Turner(G.O.T) also they're gingers. I'm 100% in the mythology class. The ladies of the house were all named after TV shows: Lexie, the husky (Grey's Anatomy), Zoe the hedgehog (Firefly), Phoebe the cat (Charmed), Salem the cat (Sabrina the teenage witch). The males are all named after authors or prevalent book characters: Cyrano the talkative Siamese (Cyrano de Bergerac), Balzac the butthole tabby (Honoré de Balzac, just as insufferable), and Machiavel/Machiavelli the plotting siamese after the author of The Prince... because he is the king of the house.

I've read vast majority of John Scalzi's books - would recommend The Collapsing Empire . The Goodreads description seems really dry and a bit boring but it's funny, has good political intrigue and they're quite short and quick reads

Ear mites are such a huge problem with kittens. If you take them to a cat hotel for vacations they will also probably get them again too.
