how do you keep it from cracking?

you can use water to remove the cracks before it get dry. It is coldporcelain clay so usually it won't get crack. There is a chance to get crack when you add a lot color. This time you should shape them asap. 🤍✨

Next time knead them properly before making a charm and avoid direct contact with air. Place them in a box and it would take 3 to 4 week to dry properly.. And dm me the end result on Instagram.. Keep going because many successful small businesses owners are using this.
