I was initially planning on releasing this tomorrow 😅 but I got it done today so I figured I'd release it a day early. Hope you all enjoy this one, I really like how it turned out.

I definitely prefer more detailed smaller builds, a while back when you went and built a neighbourhood and added a few “stories” to some of the houses and i absolutely loved it, this episode too is just amazing! cant wait for the next one
@GenericLemons4 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yeah that's one of my favorite builds too!

An episode where you go back and add extra detail to every part of the town/towns would be super cool in the future. It would also show off Angler Creek to new viewers :)
@GenericLemons4 ай бұрын
Yeah there’s definitely parts I could go over again. I feel like I’m getting better as I go too cause i’m learning new stuff each time I make an episode.

Awesome detailing mate, yeah I love the smaller builds with heavy detailing, less fussed on seeing huge city ❤ but just do what you enjoy most 👍
@GenericLemons4 ай бұрын
Thanks! Yeah I think the small builds are what I enjoy building the most. Plus makes editing a tad easier when you don't have to condense 6 hours of content 😅

I think the detailing of the farmhouse and out building areas are amazing! Great Job. The only thing I would say from a realistic standpoint is that the actual farming land is very small in comparison to the infrastructure. A real farm of this magnitude would have many times larger workable land.
@GenericLemons3 ай бұрын
Thanks! Yeah true, I always try to scale things down in regards to Cities Skylines. But in real life a farm like this would definitely be a lot bigger. Thanks for watching!

Absolutely love the small detail builds. Growing a small town up with alot of detail is much more enjoyable to watch than painting a map with grids and skyscrapers. Love what you are doing. Cant wait to get my hands on this game once it comes to console. Hopefully

Thanks, glad to hear it. Yeah Colossal Order needs to get going with that console release.

Awesome work buddy, I enjoyed watching and I appreciate the design ideas. Your talent is second to none when it comes to detailing and design. I seen a lot of players who were either good with one or the other but it's very rare to see someone combin both in creating an extraordinary city build. I believe you have the talent and skills to be one of the all time great Cities Skylines builders. So I'll definitely keep coming back to see how you're doing and share your videos with as many people as I possibly can. ✌️😯👍

I think the fact that you aren't "super methodical" about things adds a lot of character to your builds, though. I feel like a lot of people over-engineer their builds to the point where it feels unrealistic, whereas your builds don't seem too over-the-top crazy. Everything serves a purpose in each one of these videos, which I really admire. Another great episode, by the way! I was also surprised at the number of farm assets, but you know what they say, "I got hella hoes"

I love seeing you playing this game with lot of patients and adding lots of details. 😊it’s very impressive and even I’m playing CS2 gathering lots of ideas by seeing your videos 😅. And implementing in my cities . And all the best for the next video and waiting for next episode. * more likely I loved your first episode of downtown, looking more forward related to downtown expansion. And I’m your huge fan . 🎊 😊 ………
@GenericLemons4 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yeah definitely want to revisit the downtown a tad at some point. Also going to create a couple more small downtowns around the area soon. I want to have multiple small towns similiar to the first one we've built. Then have them connected through the suburbs and farmland.
@souljahsstory4 ай бұрын
Really like your way of building and attention to detail. I think the slow approach is great. Especially if you can combine it with some “education” or purpose? For example, if you do another farm what would a “future” or sustainable farm look like? The Dyson farm project is an interesting example to have a look at. I think slow with a little variation of types works as this series goes on. But love the content!
@GenericLemons4 ай бұрын
Thanks! I agree, I was thinking about incorporating more commentary on architecture and city planning, more technical elements, instead of just talking about what I'm doing and how I feel about the build. The commentary is still a big portion of my videos that I've yet to get to a point I'm totally happy with.

I'm thrilled with this news about 2 videos in a week! i love your videos and your style of building. And i think that you should do 1 video with the small detailed and 1 video with large expansion 😀 cant wait for the next one
@GenericLemons4 ай бұрын
Thanks! Fair enough, I definitely want to keep it interesting with the variety. These next few episodes are definitely still going to be more farms, but I'm trying to condense them down to below 30 minutes so its not too much farm content lol.

hey, awesome build, one quick suggestion, I think the custom road builder mod allows adding of median line to roads, may lessen your work a bit edit: nvm, just saw your comment about that mod
@GenericLemons4 ай бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion anyways. Road builder is so cool. 🥲
@limeneon4 ай бұрын
You can use the road builder mod to make a custom road with the yellow line so you don't have to manually place the decal

I'm having issues with Road Builder on this save because I've used Mio's Custom Road Assets to create the main street. Definitely want to get Road Builder working as soon as I can though.

How do you drag surfaces over roads??
@GenericLemons4 ай бұрын
Only certain textures will drag over roads. I think it's something the texture developer has to set in the JSON file of the surface to determine the priority of the texture.
@tigonologdring91894 ай бұрын
@@GenericLemons Yes, it's exactly that. Some surfaces are intended to cover roads and paths whilst others are meant to have roads and paths cover them.

Hello, great video. I have a question; why is that that my decals disappear? Like I know they are there, because I see their hitboxes, and if I reload the save or move stuff around them they reappear for a good minute, but they go invisible after a short time again. I'm, asking because I am using the same stains, tire marks etc. as you do.
@GenericLemons4 ай бұрын
Check your anarchy settings and make sure you have "Prevent Accidental Prop Culling" checked on. You can also mess with the "Prop Refresh Frequency" and maybe that might help.

@@GenericLemons thank you man, but it didn’t help sadly.

Is there any mod to make UI smaller? I play in 4K but UI doesn't scale properly and all the icons are very big :) I can see that there is no problem like that here.
@GenericLemons4 ай бұрын
In the interface options you can toggle the 'interface scaling' button and that changes the UI scale for me.
