Aaaah, the Met! 😍I love this!! I have a handful of these decks, including the Botticelli which is just a feast for the eyes; I love using it (I've long been a fan of Botticelli's art)! Such great picks! I look forward to more in this series.

I remember the first time I wandered into the library at Bryant Park. I was so stunned. I couldn’t believe how amazing. And they were hosting a small exhibition so that was cool too. Now I make sure I walk in whenever I am in the area, which is never now 😂. But I would if I could.

@@RobynsReflections that library is one of my favorite things I love about NYC! At Christmas, it is simply magical. But on a random Tuesday, in the middle of the afternoon, it’s even more so. I am so happy you have had the chance to experience it! (And if you are EVER in NY again, you better let me know!!!!!) lol We could have an epic tarot meet up!!! 🙌🏼

Very interesting tag! Those are some beauties right there. Though it makes me a bit sad that so much historic art at least here lacks pretty much any diversity. Stunning artwork, just brings a sorrowful heartache to think of the history of exclusion instead of the cozy vibe for me.

It's so true that so much art we see, especially in curated art decks, reflects history's “white washing” - and it can be painful to encounter that while enjoying the art. The Met includes a beautiful wing with African Art, as well as an Asian wing, Islamic Art, the Temple of Dendur, as mentioned which is part of the Egyptian wing. I personally love reading about where and when some of the decorative arts are from and how they were used, since they were functional objects, not just beautifully crafted! .They have really curated a diverse collection, representing many cultures and time periods. It definitely is one of my favorite ways to spend a day.
