I’m glad the marvel snap devs actually listen to the community than other game devs. It makes me happy knowing that they care about us. Glad they made the spotlight cache changes immediately like you guys said Edit: Y’all ik the game isn’t perfect but damn what’s with all the hate towards the game in the comments?? It’s a cash grab sure but most games are. At least there aren’t ads. Also ik ladder ain’t perfect but idk many games out there that have balance changes every week and follow up on feedback very quickly. Like spotlight caches just came out and they are already changing it for the better. Enjoy the game for what it is instead of being so negative. Echo is decent in valk decks. Play Echo in the lane you're going to valk, and it prevents accidentally buffing their dino or darkhawk or knull.

I actually forgot that SNAPchat came out today so i was very pleasently surprised. Another great episode so keep 'em coming. Btw I used a version of the Shuri/PF list you did a video on a week or 2 ago just to finish those 15 wins with PF in your deck for the weekend missions and with the buff to PF the deck really solid. Decided to just knock all 15 out in one sitting and won 15 out of 17 games. Being able to move PF that one extra time can be game changing.

I opened 3/4 spotlights last time (and hustled like crazy in the last day of the week trying to get enough CL progress for the last one, didn't quite make it) and got everything but Jean Grey which I was trying for, was really disappointed. This week, I opened 2 and got the Iron Lad variant which I don't care for, and Kang which I wanted. Not too mad about it, and there isn't much I want to try for until August so I will be saving up all my caches until after they patch out the random variants. I'm glad they listened to player feedback and made that change fairly quickly.

i think that since locations are random, the best deck for legion is probably the card generation decks (fury, coulson, hill etc) so that u at least have the opportunity to get cards that can benefit the location, like patriot buffing the raptor etc

Even better though, I don't have Iron Lad and I said: "screw it, I'm not opening any spotlight caches until September, I'm gonna open one more!" And I got Iron Lad! I’m one of the high skill level bounce players that inflated the win rate and based on the games I have played post nerf the deck is probably tier three. There were effectively four nerfs to cards in a single patch. Bast being the fourth. The buff to magic is also a blow to bounce.

great episode. I would like that legion had a rework to his ability. Taking into consideration that the lore behind the character is about the randomness of his ability, it would be cool that legion could get any card ability on reveal (on random basis) or perhaps it could have a random pool abilities based on the character personalities. It would be really random, but that's part of the character.

Echo has been fire for me this last week, surprising how much relief her protection offers in your lane and amazing how often players still throw ongoing cards into her lane. Legion is going to be great paired to cards like dark hawk. Changing provinces into those that add to deck will feel great. Not great every game but paired with good cube discipline of snapping and retreating on gold and infinite ladder and legion will be amazing.

Nico Minoru is a member of the Runaways, a group of kids whose parents were villains who wanted to sacrifice them for ungodly power (or give them the power, I forget how it goes it's been a few years). She's a magic user, specifically she uses the Staff of One, which enables her to cast a spell with a single phrase, the catch is she can only use that phrase once, so "come back from the dead" is a one-timer, so is "make my drink cold".

I think Legion is gonna be ridiculous - you basically have the option to change and reopen lanes, Alex said we sleep on locations and this card gives you control over that!

Yep, I also think a big thing nobody is mentioning, after looking at a list of the locations, is that most of them don't have an effect after turn 4, so legion will be very useful to just turn locations to pseudo-ruins aha

I thought I would never play galactus in my life. This week in the spotlight cache I opened galactus! I'm already losing cubes with it, Lol, having to adapt to a new archetype. But I'm having a blast with the new patches! Back in the day, I got so angry about the Surfer Zabu nerfs, I got pissed and said I wouldn't spend on this game any more. I'm fine now, months after and surfer zabu still great. I even bought the bad phoenix card knowing it was bad, as a reconciliation, I'm legit feeling good playing this game! (they buffed the phoenix hours after I bought it LOL) Lately, I'm just feeling rewarded for playing this game, having a good time

Legion also works in favor of Magik/Limbo. Use Legion on Limbo and now you have 3 Limbos which makes it practically impossible to remove. You also cleanse out annoying locations.

I actually pulled Living Tribunal from the caches right before they switched the system to spotlight caches, I was a bit disappointed at the time given that was the only series 5 I had ever pulled from the track but I've had some fun with him since the last OTA. I like to mix up which decks I play a lot though, there's no way I could play the same deck all season long. Things do feel better now, I have a good amount of decks I like using which feels good.

Spider Ham was a bigger nerf than you've gone over. He is now outside of Falcon's bounce range. He is also outside of Beast playing for free. Previously, this allowed Ham (and others) to be dropped early, scooped up by Beast on 4 or 5, and then rapid fire dropped on 6 for 0-cost. They are ratcheting down Hit Monkey's power by +1 cost to Ham.

I mentioned this on Reddit and will repeat it here. For the weekend mission, I put Phoenix in my Rocks and Hawks deck and took it to conquest. I got matched against destroy. My opponent would play Yondu and I would get a free Phoenix boost. I had a Phoenix Hawk, a Phoenix Dino, and a Phoenix Rock Slide. I dominated that match and I think the card is good against destroy. It’s a shame we don’t get a sidebar in this game.

I agree about the 'sets' of variants, where every card has it. The problem is a lot of them will be gated. A lot of people love Dan Hipp, but one of the upcoming spotlight variants is a Dan Hipp. So now people that want Dan Hipp collection of variants are very unlikely to be able to achieve.

I feel like Echo's actually really good right now. Its got a spot in Patriot, Nimrod Destroy, Shuri, Silver Surfer. Basically anything that Cosmo can devastate echo is amazing in. I've taken Nova out of Lamby's destro deck for Echo and Psylocke for Magik - Deck feels more reliable than ever. No getting screwed by Armor or Cosmo and a reliable Destroy Card + Venom on 6 with a Arnim on 7 I think the Magik change is a very healthy change for the game. You see a lot more raw power from decks you wouldnt expect to see it from, you see more of your deck consistently which could potentially push Chavez out of competitive decks and I feel it adds a new level of competition because all of a sudden those 6 turn strategies people had go out of the window against 7 turn strategies. I havent seen many yet but all of a sudden cards like Knull are relevant again and feeling very dangerous outside of Mr Negative decks. - Would even be good if they made it a 2 drop to kill the Synergy with Surfer and denied the Synergy with 1 drop cards (Shanna into Magik lol) What I like about its strength is it really fits in any deck, which to myself at least, takes away the whole "Too Strong" vibe, its like Elysium, everyone wants to see it

I hate playing against negative surfer. Might be the most unanswerable archetype yet. It all comes down to your opponent’s draw. How do you punish it when they don’t draw negative when they still have the brood wong surfer line?

I brought a negative Surfur to conquest and couldn’t even get 1 cube against Thanos lockdown. It can lose to reality stone changing limbo, or early prof x, or Cosmo on Wong lane, or rogue/enchantress on Ironman. It has high rate but not invincible.

Tokens are now being sold back to us in bundles. And also the weekend missions. Bundles that used to just have cool cosmetics, and maybe some credits or gold. Now include tokens, are less resources. And they're the same price. I looked at future bundles, and they're piss poor compared to what we're used to for the most part. Its not confidence boosting for the future of the game, when they change the economy, remove resources, and then try to sell them back to us... The spotlight cache change is a step in the right direction. But im still...not happy.

Speaking of Thanos, shouldn't shadow king return is power to 10 if he is play after him on the lane ? For now, he seems to stay at 20. Is that some kind of bug or Thanos is consider 20 power as is initial power after the 6 stones ?

Shadow king doesn't prevent power increases from ongoing. So power stone still gives Thanos +10. In the same way, shadow king won't decrease a Devil Dino or Darkhawk power increase.

In a new surfer deck I like playing bishop, Magik, Sera, and on turn 6 then you can monkey, surfer, and beast them both back. not only do you have an 8 power monkey back, but you can now surfer twice. so on the last turn i usually can play like 5-6 cards, and since I added mysterio to the surfer deck just for monkey, monkey solos a lane with like 20 power, and the other lanes can be stuffed with cards that can be buffed with surfer, not to mention now that my bishop is like 12 power on his own. Never have a seen surfer capable of pumping so much power in a single lane like this deck.
