Been playing g for 2 years, I have to disagree with one thing mentioned. "Playing worst players doesn't help and playing God like players doesn't help. " I strongly believe that you can benefit almost equally from all 3 skill levels presented to you. Lower skilled players= work on heavy advantage state. Same skilled players = work on neutral Better players = work on disadvantage state. If you make all of these pvp matchups equally as challenging, you will always work towards a better game. I sometimes almost lose too all skill levels due to this mindset I have when I chose to work. Then when it comes to bracket playing/ tournaments, I give it all I have and see results.

i feel like playing against people that are way better then you is actually quite beneficial. I started out with smash ultimate and never played smash 4 or any other game for more then a couple hours. then I decided I would learn this game. I played with friends that were very solid from the beginning . My good friend would whoop my ass 3 stocking me all the time but he gave me advice and picked out things I was doing wrong and I started to improve . this player I would say is still better than me but I have taken sets off him in tournament and placed better than him quite a few times. I can see the opposite being true that he might not improve much. but as I got better I noticed he started to improve as well. overall though great video as usual!

It’s really worth emphasizing how much it matters to just let go of that mindset of always wanting to win... in friendlies. I feel like me and a friend always went “try hard” in this, and I’ve been trying hard to break out of it, because it really doesn’t teach you anything. You think it’s teaching you to win, but in reality you’re just most likely to avoid learning new things in fear of risk of losing. You see this stuff in casual things like Quickplay, too. They play very campy and boring like they’re trying to win EVO, and it’s dumb. Save that for tournaments if you’re so “competitive”.
@CozyyPR
@CozyyPR 3 жыл бұрын

I definitely agree. Like my boyfriend is really good at the game, has tons more experience than me and he always beats me. Many times I've found myself falling into the trap of wanting to win. Or atleast stay alive for longer than a minute! As I've learned and gained experience of my own I've gradually learned to accept where I am and just keep it moving. See what I could learn from him and not be afraid to try something new. One day I'll catch up to my bf. I stay grinding joker!😁

How do you buffer downward shooting so you can quickly do a back air or fair ? By the way great content . Really useful.
@CozyyPR
@CozyyPR 4 жыл бұрын
well bulletstorm lasts for a while, and joker will always shoot 3 (or 4? lol) bullets before he can input any other move, so if you double jump and buffer bullestorm at the apex (top) of your jump, you’ll able to buffer another move right before hitting the ground (bair, fair, counter, airdodge, etc)

sonic is one of the chara that can successfully camp joker and Arsen, if you get a read on spindash you can always counter it or shield it and try to punish afterwards, and be careful of his spring offstage, it can hit you out of your tether which is why its important that u save your double jump offstage if possible

At 0:46 you mention "the character that fits you best". How would describe that?
@CozyyPR
@CozyyPR 4 жыл бұрын
J there are many archetypes like grapplers (donkey kong, mario, luigi) who benefit a lot of of grabs, there’s Zoners who typically space their moves and have a more patient game (marth, lucina), while others are more rushdown and in your face (c. falcon, fox). there’s also character weight, fall speed, amount of jumps, etc that also makes most fighters very unique and fitting to any playstyle! :)
