No Problem! Winnipeg was founded where the Red and Assiniboine rivers meet, near the geographic centre of North America. Winnipeg has long been an important place for community and gathering as well as a commercial, transportation, and cultural hub. It is the largest city in Manitoba and the provincial capital. “Winnipeg” comes from the Cree name for the lake 65 kilometers to the north (Lake Winnipeg), meaning “win” for muddy and “nippee” for water. It is sometimes translated to “murky water”. Confluent des rivières Rouge et Assiniboine, Hôtel Fort Garry à l’arrière-plan. Photographie, 1940 Meeting of the Red and Assiniboine rivers, 1940. CP #2816 came to Winnipeg to finish off the wild steam tour. CP #2816 tour went wild when it reached Mexico. Dont worry. She's ok. WB to Canada CP #2816. CPKC might have more use for you. Im sorry the Mexican part of your tour was chaotic.

Yeah this whole steam tour had a good side and a down side to it, I feel bad for the crew having to experience the death of a girl on the steam cylinder.

What’s gonna happen to 2816? This is its last stop.
@ThePrairiesRailfan5 ай бұрын
It will be returning to its home In Calgary, Right now we don’t know If this Is Its last run or there’s many excursions to come for this 1930s classic, Depends on what CPKC does to It to be honest.
