This was very helpful. I'm in Compensation and have been toying with the idea of taking one of these certifications.

Ooooh ok. Have you looked into any of the compensation specific certifications?

@Heyyy HR! by Timeka Green . I have done a little reading on the CCP but it also seems to be a significant financial and time committment..what are your thoughts on it. I was previously in Audit so this has been a big career change.
@HeyyyHR Жыл бұрын
@@candacemartin9400 honestly, I looked it over years ago bc I wanted to be a Comp Analyst or a Comp Specialist. I thought SHRM-SCP was a better commitment. Now I haven’t looked at it in years, so I’m not sure. 🤔

Hello, Tamika has been helpful! I just graduated with my master's in Human resources management. My question is when I should take an exam. I am a member of SHRM but I don't know how soon I should prep and take the exam. Should I get experience in the field before taking these certs or is it worth it to just jump in post-grad and get the cert now? Thank you and thank you for making these videos. Greatly lessens my confusion

Regarding SHRM test, is it possible to get through the 1st section of the test and then accidently submit the full exam without completing the 2nd section. This is so confusing.
@HeyyyHR Жыл бұрын
Not at all. I've NEVER heard of that happening.

I PASSED! SHRM-CP and 2 days later PHR! Definitely was Not easy, it took a lot of discipline and focused study for an entire QTR of 2023, the reward of passing both exams is indescribable! I love your channel, you were such an inspiration during my studies, and I will continue to follow you. Thank you for your voice. Many blessings

Can anyone take the SHRM CP? I’m seeing some people say there’s requirements with work experience and degree and some saying there’s no requirements but preparing well for the exam. Appreciate anything you can tell me.

@HeyyyHR So, I'm not particular about the role, just one that can help me understand the US systems first while adjusting.

@@chidinmaunamz3569 For entry level positions (HR Asst, HR Coord) you don’t need it. For more senior level roles, it would be helpful.

I just wanted to ask about the difference between HR Assistant and HR officer?
@HeyyyHR Жыл бұрын
Good question. HR is moving away from titles that include “officer” to ones that include “people” so they first thing that comes to mind is that Org may be a bit outdated in their business & HR strategies. I didn’t a few videos about HR Assistant but none on HR Officer. I’ll put the link below. Thank you for this comment bc I will do a video on “outdated HR titles” kzbin.info/www/bejne/eGKsZJR3l5pggac
