So true Roy Wood about NYC and the blackout of 77. I'm not from NY but i saw/read documentaries and most, if not ALL the stores with electronic equipment WERE looted. But as soon as power was restored, the people in the inner city/hood/boroughs of NY hot wired the street lights, stop lights, ANYWHERE there was a power source to their speakers, turn tables, etc and would have parties out on the streets of NYC. House parties too.

All right, Roy's tie & pocket square, leap off the screen, and onto your eyeballs, I'm the only to notice ? (I like them) BTW the scratch is one of the reasons older people hate hip-hop, it's the sound of a record ,that someone worked hard to earn money to buy, being destroyed.
@ErykaSoleil5 жыл бұрын
Christel Headington : I noticed them too, they're lovely! I commented on it several minutes ago, and then started scrolling, and scrolling . . . I was beginning to think I was the only one. 😁 And yes, you nailed it on the record scratch. I love the sound, and old school hip-hop, but a little part of me always cringed and hoped they'd gone out and bought their own record, as opposed to "borrowing" one from their parents. I was so relieved when it became possible to get that effect without a real record.
