Congrats on the sponsored video! How time has flown since the final pass. My experience was very different from yours, with my own obstacles, but agree overall that it is one of my greatest accomplishments! 🎉

I used Becker for FAR and BEC. I had initially purchased Wiley but I kept failing BEC so decided to go a different route. All study preps are great, make sure to see if your job can cover some of the study prep cost. Also, I loved Ninja bc they had a lot of questions you could just practice right before exam days. Good luck everyone, it’s deff possible!

The comment about we are all paid the same couldn’t be more wrong. As a CPA I most definitely get paid more than others without a CPA and do the same work. My firm can bill more for a CPA than non CPA and in corporate industry there are certain positions that require a CPA so you have a ceiling if you don’t get it.
@HeavensAudventure8 ай бұрын
The person who asked that was saying specifically for government since we don’t have different billable rates and we all do the same job duties. But for public or industry, you’re absolutely right and it’s highly encouraged! Although in my experience at the State government level, it is highly encouraged too. But it varies from department to department and state to state due to budgetary constraints and agency needs.

@@HeavensAudventureso true, government sector won’t make a significant pay difference so if u have a CPA it makes sense to have a side hustle if hanging on to your cushy, no stress, good benefits government job
@HeavensAudventure2 ай бұрын
@@JCLPAAyou don’t need a side hustle for government jobs.. you can make very good money. There are a wide variety of different government levels and departments within each level. Many states and definitely federal gov level jobs make a significant salary they would put public accounting to shame. Do some research before making false claims on the internet.

@HeavensAudventure6 ай бұрын
if you get licensed in Connecticut, you are only a CPA in Connecticut but you can get your license transferred to other states if you meet the other state’s requirements. It just depends on the state!

@@CalebsCorner704 you can’t sit for the CPA exam in most states until you have 150 credit hours so I would time it with that. But it definitely depends on your state’s requirements.

The CPA exam? It’ll probably feel worse than getting a masters degree haha but I think all 50 states do require 150 credits before sitting for the exam, which is the minimum hours required for a masters degree. So basically!
