#CPDMEWEBINAR
A whistle stop tour of the fire service approach to incident management and the safe, timely resolution of road traffic collision and house fire extrications. This webinar will look at how the fire service respond to house fires and RTCs, where competing interests lie and how these can be mitigated, and to provide insight into what optimal joint services working might look like.
Bio:
I started my career in the emergency services in 2007 when I joined West Midlands Fire Service as a firefighter. Predominantly serving in the south Birmingham region, with briefer periods at inner city locations. 10 of my 15 years with WMFS were spent as a junior officer, responding to and taking charge of a wide variety of incidents across the greater Birmingham area. In 2017, I completed a Paramedic Science FdSc out of the University of Worcester. Graduating in 2019 I began employment in a part-time capacity with West Midlands Ambulance Service. Between 2020 and 2021 I topped up to a BSc in Cardiac Care at Birmingham City University.
In September 2022 I moved into the Paramedic Lead role for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service and lead a team of 2 other paramedics. My role as lead involves a range of training and policy related activities, all with an end goal of providing quality training to operational crews with the intended outcome being that they’re as capable, competent and confident when providing casualty care as they can be.
