Absolutely love your extreme beginner videos. I think I have been watching the wrong tutorials until now. They say get the best quality materials you can afford, use a bigger brush, if you mix all the colours you get mud etc. I have been frozen with fear and unable to get started. You just slap at all on and who cares if the result isn't perfect. I love the "recipe" too, draw a picture and then paint it- lol- great advice. I shall be working my way through your lessons.

Another great video. Granted my end result looked NOTHING like yours, the fact that I did it, makes me happy. You have a way of making it all look so easy and that is what I appreciate. No stress, just adding paint to paper. It's fun, relaxing and mesmerizing to see the results the next day. Images really do continue to change as they dry. I am looking forward to trying the still life tomorrow. I really liked seeing the visual of painting the negative space to accentuate the pitcher with the white of the paper. I enjoyed learning today, and look forward to learning more along the way. I am doing these in a Watercolour journal, so it's been fun to see the progression of work. Thanks for making it FUN!!!

Hi Chris - really enjoy your videos. Had never painted before but for Christmas I decided I wanted to try and rally enjoy it. Question; curious to why you did the sky wash last versus first? I don't think I heard you address that in the video. Take care and keep the extreme beginner videos coming!

Surprised that this is "easy". But my result is not even half as good as yours. I hope I can be this quick too! My paint dried as I was slow and I ruined some parts because of that.
@cpetri7662 жыл бұрын
Hi Emmanuel, your quickness will come in time…. It’s a key part of watercolor but takes time and perseverance to get there. 👍😎
@marctestarossa2 жыл бұрын
From my experience you should stay away from extremely cheap water colour paper. I bought the water colour paper at Action for 1,89 € for 20 sheets A4 and it was awful, even worse than "normal" 120 - 150 gsm paper. Then I found a water colour pad at "Rossmann" and it was 3,99 € for 20 sheets A4 and it's absolutely decent. I struggled so hard with the first paper I got and thought I was doing something completely wrong. So I gave it to my girlfriend who has some years of experience in water colours and she confirmed that this paper was straight rubbish. So you don't have to spend a fortune but you can get decent watercolour or mixed media paper for 20 cents per A4 sheet and for a lot of brush exercises or when I try to learn to mix colours I simply use both sides of the paper.

This is the first time I’ve been to your channel and I find it really intriguing, but the problem I have is that your volume is too low I’ve got it up as high as I can on my phone and it’s still not a high enough to hear you very well and I am downloading it which means at some point if I get near an exterior microphone I mean speaker then I can attach to that so that I can hear you better but I think you need to be speaking into a microphone a little louder than what you are. Thank you for your channel I just found you I’ve never seen you before but so far I like what I hear so thank you
@cpetri7662 жыл бұрын
Hi Karen, I monitor my sound very carefully on a consistent basis. I have no one saying it’s not loud enough. I think your phone may be the issue? They have Bluetooth speakers or plug in speakers too. You would have to do research before you invest in something like these additional d as speakers and such. If you’re not great with phone gadgets etc… a local cell phone store can help you find something. 👍😎
