cpfselfbuilt, you are the best! Thank you SO MUCH for your thorough reviews! They're incredibly useful, well-thought-out, and both concise and detailed at the same time. Thanks for "shedding light" on these flashlights. So difficult to separate the jewels from the junk nowadays.

I have this light XT11S (which I just returned) and the XT12. There is an issue with the XT11S that I discovered. And from talking to Klarus, the 2nd batch coming out soon will not have the issue. The issue I have with this light is when you remove either the default bezel, or the Klarus extended bezel... the glass lens falls out onto the floor it is not seated/protected behind a metal lip as it is with the XT12. Additionally... when you screw down either of the two bezel's... the steel bezel/s comes into direct physical contact against the glass lens and can easily crack it if tightened too much. In my opinion a terrible overlooked design flaw. I have returned mine today to the dealer and will have it replaced by Klarus with an XT11S from the newest 2nd batch which does not have the poor design flaw.

That is not an issue with mine - there is a retaining ring that holds the lens in place, even when you unscrew and remove the bezel. Perhaps they already fixed the issue?

Yes, you have (reviewed) the fixed one (new batch).. I bought mine back in April 2016. My dealer just replaced mine with the newer one last week, no more "issue".
