there's something charming, wonderful, and magical about hearing music outside of the concert hall/theater and listening to musicians play their instruments with great enjoyment in their street clothes. father sitting down with his kids at 1:06 was lovely. thank you to all the musicians for lugging their sometimes heavy instruments out and bringing music to the people.

I'm sure I can speak on behalf of everyone from Nottingham who sat down to watch live television coverage of Torvill and Dean from the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics. Even though the outcome is always the same and is written in history, this music stills sends shivers down my spine as I recall that performance. I am instantly transported back to that exact same feeling, that same electricity and the euphoria of seeing such a performance. Thanks to all involved, there is something that really just makes it work well with a crowd and they can't all be associating it with Torvill and Dean !
@DalokiMauvais2 жыл бұрын
That's another video that, like this one, I come back and watch frequently. I don't associate the two because each is a masterpiece in its own form. Euphoria is a very good word for my response to each performance, too.

The understatement of just finishing the song and immediately packing up and mingle with the crowd is what made this hilarious. Well done, by the way. I always wonder how the musicians on the flute and harp feel about this piece. The flute begins, but later on is indescernable. As is the harp.

A wonderful way to present classical music: in ordinary clothes, in a very public place, entering and leaving by stealth, seemingly just for the fun of it and playing so well and utterly without pretension. I'd like to hear the whole repertoire in this manner lol Congrats to the Copenhagen Phil and all such performances.

What a magical, elevating and touching experience; the passion of the musicians; the engagement of the people, the children and parents and busy commuters as they nodded, smiled and absorbed the music together; the look of wonder, delight and appreciation on all the faces. It reminded me of the beauty in art and music, its unifying power and, most importantly, how important it is to support musicians and artists: Music and art cultivate and sustain the humanity in us all.
