You’re not here either. I have lived in five different states including Florida we have lived that is a requirement. I have friends who even had to fight with their development over covenants that made it very difficult and problematic to fence in their pool because a lot of times there’s really specific requirements about what type of fence and the height of fence that is allowed if anything in some of these areas, still have to be fenced in. Also, your homeowners is not going to cover you at all or it’s going to affect your rates if you do not have a fenced pool that’s a huge liability because you’re still liable for anything that happens on your property and if you have kids that come over and end up falling in your pool or without your knowledge, you might not even be home you’re still on the hook that’s your liability so not only that but any intelligent homeowner and parent would look at us a pool as a huge responsibility and potential risk especially with a child that young obviously cannot swim and is going to be prone to wandering off and exploring things and a parent who is physically incapable of adequately caring for that child alone that’s not her disability that’s just being realistic self-aware good parent would be able to recognize their shortcomings and want to keep their child safe and would do whatever it takes to keep their child safe

That is the law most places we have a lot of friends who have inground pools, including my ex-husband and they are all required to have a fence of a certain height and lock, and sometimes a ladder, and sometimes that can become tricky because of covenants in developments they have very specific rules about fencing and type of fencing that can be used. I know that was an issue for one of our friends that live on a golf course and have a pool, in my experience, the state of Florida is extremely liberal when it comes to covenants and building codes in respect to things like that that should be a given, even if it’s not a requirement where you live, let’s say, for example having any children of any age or even just owning a pool that seems like the first course of action would be to have a safety fence because you know how children are drawn to pools like moths to a flame and even if neighbor children come over and God forbid some sort of accident happens in your pool with or without your permission you can be held liable and also with homeowners insurance that is typically a requirement of any home that has a pool they will not insure somebody with a and children, if it is not adequately safe and including fence, the fact that it didn’t even occur to them and wasn’t a huge safety concern right from the get-go and moving to this house is concerning itself that would be my biggest fear moving to a home with a pool and seeing that it doesn’t have a fence with an infant that would be my first order of business is making that secure especially particularly if I had a physical disability prohibited me from keeping my child safe out of harms way or rescuing a child or stopping a child. Sorry to say it but she is. It’s not disability bashing or discrimination it’s, simply being self-aware and realistic

Actually it’s a very common weapon used against creators, I know of at least 5 Disabled and non disabled creators who have had CPS and one actually has pursued legal action against the reporter. One creator I follow doesn’t even post her child and she still gets reported. We aren’t dealing with sane individuals making these reports, here it’s a criminal offence to falsely report anyone to CPS, and so it should be. If you don’t like a creator just move on with your life! Don’t be cruel, don’t waste the time of the CPS workers and just move the frig on….your embarrassing yourselves honestly

Even if the baby was next to the pool, there are plenty of adults there to help. I agree. They need to think about this... It's him relapsing that causes the major concerns, something she's mentioned herself so nothing made up by "trolls". He is also struggling with BPD and was the one caring for both Alex and a baby, that's hard for anyone without recent addiction and/or mental health issues. And from what we've seen on their stories, they have been intoxicated around their baby many times. Sickening that she doesn't acknowledge this and speak on it. She acts as if him relapsing was a small thing... They were living together ffs!! Around Ari!!! Then fleeing broke to his parents.. I mean. Just no. She can manipulate her stans and Noah's family etc. But in time dcfs will have enough. And if the grandparents don't make a plan quickly they will all lose Ari. Noah and Alex needs rehab and parenting classes. End of.

Exactly. I’ve seen at least 5 Tik Tok families get their kids taken away for child abuse. Social media might actually be saving their lives. One mother was passed out on drugs and her toddler got in the washing machine and the lid closed and locked and was set on auto start with hot water. The baby’s died. This was the second child in that family to die. The mother took her own life. As a mom, I would never have a swimming pool with no fence. I wouldn’t even use a babysitter that had a pool. Half the population shouldn’t even have children. It infuriates me. Ari is just weeks away from being completely mobile and her mother cannot save her if she falls in. It only takes a few seconds for a tragedy to happen.

I am a 34-year-old woman. I am happily married to the love of my life; this is precisely why we are choosing not to have kids because this is not just the US problem; this is a world problem. In Sweden, where I live, the doctor must call DCFS if a woman in a wheelchair has Child. Our doctor also told us that I would have to undergo a psychological evaluation to see if I would be a fit mother to my child. The prenatal care workers do NOT contact DCFS just for being in a wheelchair. Only if there are other concerns.... I am 1 year sober and live in chicago. I got sober because of my baby who is now 5 months. My DCFS case was because i am on methadone and was for my pregnancy as it was the only safe option. I dont know if alexs boyfriend is still using but if he is. That could be a major DCFS concern. Also DCFS isnt able to b contacted unless they have the address and name of the person/family.

Even if it was an open & shut case they keep it open for 30 days before they close it…. & I highly doubt that’s the case here.. at the very least they are probably gonna make them get a fence around the pool (which should have already happened) & if the caller said anything about drugs they are gonna have to test at least once & will probably want some kind of proof that Noah is getting treatment…. Also idk what even happened with the domestic violence case they had in Chicago? Bc I’d definitely say that cps would have said these 2 can’t even be around eachother.
