Hands down Jimmy is CLEARLY one of the most calculated, disciplined, and overall best Ryu mains in the world IMO. I’ve learned a lot about the Ryu match up from watching Jimmy. He should be in everyone’s top 5 when bringing up Ryu in convo! Thanks for all your streams fam 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Top 8 is legit. I think you need to befriend high level players for every character and spar and exchange information with them to truly improve to the next level. Kind of like how Tokido and the other Japanese players get together and analyze strategy.

Looking of the results of the tournament, Takamura was on fire that day , don't feel too bad. See that you were nervous during the match, hope you feel more comfortable in tournaments in the future. I would really like to see your analysis though.

I feel like to beat top players you need to add a bit of risky play early on with the right reads (so a bit of luck and to throw them off reading your game). When you play the ground game it can seem impossible to beat. Definitely an enjoyable set and kudos for streaming it live, hopefully it didn't throw you off your game too much! :P

This. Ive beat top players first match literally going gung ho, then took the next match because theyre scared of pressing a button at the wrong time so they play less aggressive. It can work sometimes, but the downside is its an inconsistent method

That's not fair. There was no download -- this was classic japanese-style play. Jimmy likes to avoid risks but this isn't typical American play. The entire JP FGC culture is about playing "perfectly" -- taking risks is not a part of their style, so Jimmy was countered to death. Any risk he did take had an answer waiting.

Jim could beat these top players if they are playing casual online match but when they are in a tournament they tend to switch it on but Jim is still stuck with the casual type playing and thats why he does not advance.

They were using a PC mod that replaces training stage with a random other one. All of the CPT matches were played on training stage but on stream it looked differently.
