Old school Zangief trick; I use to go right into the spin slam after landing Zangief's body splash attack. Id start the motion for it midair. It confused people because even if you block the body splash..you cant block the spin up pile driver. So the splash attack was a deception.

yep agree, this guy doesn't know how to play Zangief. I stopped playing long ago but I recall going thru fireballs, doing 360 motion in mid air landing with the special move. Those are the 2 moves RYu/Ken/Akuma players fear most.

Zangeif has so many options right now , with the damage he does its terrifying in the right hands. You will notce MenaRD is trying to perfect parry A LOT more. The amount of damage you can get off a perfect parry is worth the attempts.

MenaRD switch to Zangief for a reason. Its not even close to be perfected by you can see how many ways MenaRD can counter. The way he was using his supers to react were nasty. Reactions like that, burnout isn't that scary. Also Zangief being able to jump cancel. oh man

​​@@MandySweissnot a glitch. Ex dp is only invulnerable for 8 frames and after thst it is punishable. Zangiefs lv 1 is also invulnerable for 17 frames and active for 30 frames. Basically zagiefs level 1 causes the dp to whiff which puts akuma into the air where he can get grabbed by the super

@ginomartell4237 what about what I said was wrong? All I said was that it wasn't a glitch and explained why. Also I have seen other zangiefs do this. It is well known that level 1 beats ex dp. It's an option select as it beats wake up jump and wakeup dp. Its risky and only something I've seen utilized if the zangief player is feeling themselves and thinks they've got a read on their opponent

Daigo should stick with Ken, he is more suitable with defense and reacting playstyle of Daigo, and his HP/DEF is higher than Akuma. Idk why he chose Akuma and still play pretty defensive, it's not efficient and also not looking good for the spectators.
