Hi Xonical, although this thread is several years old, Seveal hour after scratching my head, failing to update bios/cmos reset, i came across your vid. I did what you said and it didn't work (I have a liquid cooler as well). BUT as a result of the in fo you provided, I scrolled down the 4 other speed N/A default settings I have on my crosshair VI and set them all to ignore and VOILA! it worked. This is amazing it went straight to the Windows install right after this. Fans were Spinning and the pump is plugged into the AIO fan. It worked. Thanks man!!

Reset the CMOS. Now some higher end motherboards have a specific button on the back that'll do that. I know mine does. But if not, there is a small chrome battery on the motherboard. Ensure the computer is off, remove the battery. Wait 30 seconds, then put the battery back in. Then it should fix your problem. I had that issue many years ago.

No, you shouldn't need new thermal paste unless temps are bad. I don't exactly know why this can be happening myself, but it could just be some glitch with the BIOS.

Hello @xonical my issue still persists. I have an Asus rog x399 e gaming motherboard and I did as you said. I I changed all my fan settings to ignore (but here I had to ignore all fans manually). After ignoring the fan settings I saved and exit but now it directly boots up again without even telling the error.

If everything works fine, then I don't see any other reason not too. But you may have issues monitoring the proper temperatures in the BIOS since it's not plugged into the CPU FAN pins.

Yes but why would it suddenly happen? My H80iv2 liquid cooler worked fine for 5 months and then I got that error. Additionally the CPU temp went into the 90 degree Celsius range so that tells me this fix would ignore the fact that the cooler is not functioning correctly and risks burning up the CPU. Has anyone else experienced what I have? Corsair is doing an RMA indicating that the pump inside is probably not functioning at the correct RPMs and therefore not cooling correctly. Doing this just seems to just ignore the warning signs.

The liquid cooler does not have just regular water in it. The liquid is already pre placed into the coolers tube's. You shouldn't have to replace it at all.

It depends on the cooler. I don't recommend super heavy overclocks with a 120MM Radiator. It has to be at least a 240MM. But it's always best to check your case to see what the max radiator mounting size is. For me, my case on top supports a 360MM and I currently am using a 120MM radiator. I have the i7 4790K and at 4.8 GHz my CPU temps when rendering are above 200F. So that shows I need a new cooler. Same in games, in CSGO with a 4.6 GHz overclock my temps are at around 180-196. Just mess with the voltages and try to get the lowest voltage as possible, but still making it stable of course..

Yes, if your CPU fan isn't working then your CPU will reach very high temperatures and throttle, or your PC will bluescreen and then give you a CPU temperature error instead. Fix your CPU fan so you don't kill your CPU with very high temps.

Beeping is part of most computers boot up, those beeps tell you if there is something wrong. Just like some motherboards have little screens that pop up codes on them. My motherboard says "A0" Which means everything is functioning normally. One beep indicates your system booted normally, any other beep then one beep means there is an issue. Check your motherboard manual for what certain beeps mean.
