How to keep your black plastic looking new?

How is the coating holding up? I'm thinking of applying this to my new ATV. You can also apply that to your headlights and taillights.

Thanks for watching. I only applied one layer to all the truck parts on the video. I did not apply to headlights/tail lights. I believe it is only for black plastic etc…

@@GReviewz how is it holding up? No it's actually for most plastics and rubbers/trims etc. Not just black plastic. Wheels too.

dow you know how long the plastics will be protected with this coating?

Thanks for watching. It said on the bottle one year of protection. An easy way to tell is the water beading. With this applied all your plastics bead was just like ceramic coated paint does..

How’s it looking/holding up on the door pillars? Those are just a vinyl sticker.

Thanks for watching. The product is still holding up everywhere I applied it. Still is slightly shiny and beads water just as good as my paint. I was not aware it was a vinyl sticker. I thought the pillars on my truck were plastic panel covers that is a just a textured plastic..?

🤔 I’m not sure exactly what it is. It feels like plastic but it could be vinyl too. Either way the coating is still doing a good job.

Thanks for watching. It literally is still beading like the rest of the ceramic spray I have on the paint. Pretty good stuff sofar. What ru planning on putting dlux on?

@@GReviewz Good to know. I want to aply dlux on a mini cooper clubman, lots of trim to work on, not as much as your truck though;). What kind of coating do you use for the paint?

Yeah the minis do have a lot of black trim also. Good call on wanting to protect it. Yeah my truck has paint for days lol. This summer I will be switched to cquartz up 3.0. But currently I have turtle wax hybrid solutions ceramic spray. I know it sounds cheap but do some research and it’s one of the best spray ceramics on the market right now. Plus it’s super easy to apply.

@@GReviewz nice man. That’s the same set-up i’m going for. Gonna protect the paint for now (during winter) with TW. And when the weather gets better, gonna switch it for Cquartz. At first i was doubting about meguiars ceramic spray, because of the spray on rinse off method ofcourse after you aply the first layer. But after doing research TW was the best in my opinion. Use 2 layers of uk 3.0 then top it with a layer of gliss. Wheels, lights, and plastic dlux. Maintain every 3 months with reload

Thanks for the advice. So you are saying use the 2 layers of uk 3.0 on the paint with the gliss as the topper? What do you use for windshield. Ive been using rainx for years but I feel Ike it doesn’t last...

I use carpro flyby forte, pretty much eliminates the need for wipers after 40 mph. Make sure to iron x, claybar, and polish your paint before applying the uk 3.0 and gliss to exfoliate the paint and get rid of any scratches before coating. Your truck is already nice, but after that it’ll look like glass.

Thanks for watching. I’ve been detailing non professionally for years. If I was applying this in a garage I would but in open air I don’t use a mask. I know it’s always better to be safe than sorry but also since I make videos etc the mask would make it alil harder to hear me on camera.

Thanks for watching. Yes the grill, mirrors, fender flares etc are black plastic and the front and rear bumpers are black powder coated. Dlux works on all of it. Are you thinking about dlux?
