Crépuscule for string orchestra (with score)

This is a short piece composed between February and May 2021.
I have played and recorded all the tracks - 13 violins, 4 violas, 4 cellos and 2 basses - and added a little bit of virtual instruments (Cinematic Studio Strings) to make the sound "thicker".
I hope that you will enjoy listening at it, and that you will have the curiosity to look at the score in detail.

Man, you recorded all of the tracks yourself? That's incredible. It sounds like a genuine orchestra performance, as if all the players were playing simultaneously. You're extremely talented

Thank you ! This is my third attempt in recording a "single-player orchestra", although it isn't perfect I think I'm getting closer and closer to the sound of a real orchestra. About the "simultaneously" term, I've made a lot of editing on all the track to make it simultaneous, believe me !

So beautiful like just how beautiful those moments captured, authentic figures are... And man the last chord, watered my melted heart. Terrific! I would gladly hear more of you with joy... I have a tecnic question though, can you please tell where did you get the chance of recording all of it, in a home-home studio or maybe another environment, and with which microphone-microphones

Thnak you ! I’m happy to know that someone listened to it until the last chord… Everything was recorded in my studio, which was at the beggining a home studio but is now becoming larger year after year… I used three different microphones but only one for each take, so when I play three times a part on the same violin the sound is slightly different. I used two ribbon mics, the m160 and the m130 from beyerdynamics, and a shure ksm44 condenser set on omni for a distant micing.

Are you familiar with Bruckner's work? I see some similar genius at work here. If you haven't heard it already, his 3rd symphony is incredible.
