I also have a MRE head and next time I rebuild I'll be sending Adam the cases and cylinder for the full job. I don't use the de-comp anymore, or the kickstart. The Panthera e-start is a faff to set up but has been reliable so far. One of my favourite mods was a Pulse intake built by Ron McCord. It came with a billet intake manifold modified 38mm PWK airstriker and boyesen reed. I run a Fatty pipe and she pulls real clean from below 1800rpm and I've seen very high over rev on tacho. Also less vibration and excellent fuel range on trail rides, wide open spaces she uses lot's of fuel! A downside to the e-start is the heavy flywheel, I went from a tiny CR250 flywheel to the heavy e-start one and it dulled the power delivery, a lot to my discust. Now I have gone back to alloy clutch plates, that's a huge weight saving of rotating mass. Also gone to tubeless tyre, alloy sprocket not steel and titanium bolts on the rear disk, front and rear sprockets. All this combined gave me back the snappy quick revving engine I like. Keep up the great content, thanks!!

A conventional Hinson steel basket feels better than the stock Honda one, wont notch over time, and adds a tiny bit of flywheel effect. Ill be running one (with the matching hub) in the RC500. Even one with the steel inserts on the fingers will have your clutch holding up better because of better oiling.

Man she looks like shes a purring good!! What's the power like? An how's she feel now at the throttle compared to before? Is she smooth? Or more brute like? Does she feel like shes got more bottom An mid? Or vise versa? An I know you got your injuries... But you guys are pretty awesome riders!! So what if ya don't ride every day... Do what you love!! An you guys should make your track just to play on... It makes a man feel good to just have that option... Plus you guys could ride atvs on it... An plus it would help you guys for when you go to south wick... For the vet races... An to see what works for you when feeling out an stretching that baby's legs... But opinions are like rocks on a track... Theres millions of em!! Lol! But thanks for making this vid! Ive learned more watching you guys than I have in the 20yrs ive been riding... An not just fixin or riding... But just learning about the bikes history an the love an passion you guys have for em is a blessing!! I appreciate you guys an all the vids! God bless an thank you!! Just got done with my 1st real rip on it since we put the motor together it's definitely a lot faster and it will wrap to the moon just like A250 it definitely has more horse bar I can't wait to put it on the dyno it's a lot more fun to ride power everywhere were gonna try a couple different pipes The gnarly pipe that's on there isn't the hot set up for motocross the fatty is and possibly the Hygge pipe

@@KaplanCycles man that blows chunks!! But I'm also glad ya did... Cause you wouldn't have the museum now... That lord willing I'm gonna get come an see hopefully soon... I wonder what a if bobcat would do the job? Anyways... I'll keep my eyes open for a cheap bobcat an a tractor with a box blade.... An if bought a 90 model 500 what would it take to make it close to an 85 torque an power wise? I'm sorry I'm picking your brain... But I have raod a dirt bike since I sold my 500 when I was 24... An I'm 49 now lol!! An I want another one... Lol! Do you have any suggestions that would help me as to what I need to do... As far as build wise... To get the torque out of it that maybe yours has? Any wisdom will help... Gof bless you an I can't wait for.the next vid! Your the boss!! Oh an one.more question... Lol! As a fan of yours.... You mentioned having a factory ride with husqvarna... An I am just curious if you owned any of the 400s or 430s from back in the day... An when you rode for them was it 2 strokes you rode or 4? An power an handling an dependability differences... Anyway I know this is a lot... Maybe you should make a vid on these questions... Cause I'm relatively new to your channel an I'm playi catch up! Lol!! Anyway I love ya brother! Thank you so much for the museum, the vids an your passion! God bless you an all yours!!

@Kaplan America, your rwh may be lower due to the need for a new clutch. You may actually producing more horse power but your losing more than the average 12-15% loss to rear wheel due to the slipping of the clutch. I’d slap a new clutch before gathering anymore dyno data. Either way she’s a beaut👍God bless American & Kaplan Cycles, luv the vids.

The day he was gonna trade a gye in Boston straight up for a Suzuki 450 quad,My brother decided to go ahead and take the Polaris for one more rip. There is a little track on the beginning of Route18,And he was tearing It up some one yeld and he took his eyes off the trail for one Second. He looked back but he was already In 2nd gear upwards of 55mph.He tried to turn away but the wheels turned but the bike kept going straight .Well he slammed into the I-95 sign and the impact broke his kneck and shattered his D.O.T approved helmet

They never decresed the power. They simply had "eyebrows" over the exhaust port to make it more manageable. Bore the cylinder enough to remove them or resleeve it without the reliefs, and you'll have an ill-tempered and harder to ride bike again.
