I also have a MRE head and next time I rebuild I'll be sending Adam the cases and cylinder for the full job. I don't use the de-comp anymore, or the kickstart. The Panthera e-start is a faff to set up but has been reliable so far. One of my favourite mods was a Pulse intake built by Ron McCord. It came with a billet intake manifold modified 38mm PWK airstriker and boyesen reed. I run a Fatty pipe and she pulls real clean from below 1800rpm and I've seen very high over rev on tacho. Also less vibration and excellent fuel range on trail rides, wide open spaces she uses lot's of fuel! A downside to the e-start is the heavy flywheel, I went from a tiny CR250 flywheel to the heavy e-start one and it dulled the power delivery, a lot to my discust. Now I have gone back to alloy clutch plates, that's a huge weight saving of rotating mass. Also gone to tubeless tyre, alloy sprocket not steel and titanium bolts on the rear disk, front and rear sprockets. All this combined gave me back the snappy quick revving engine I like. Keep up the great content, thanks!!

A conventional Hinson steel basket feels better than the stock Honda one, wont notch over time, and adds a tiny bit of flywheel effect. Ill be running one (with the matching hub) in the RC500. Even one with the steel inserts on the fingers will have your clutch holding up better because of better oiling.

An I am just curious if you owned any of the 400s or 430s from back in the day... An when you rode for them was it 2 strokes you rode or 4? An power an handling an dependability differences... The day he was gonna trade a gye in Boston straight up for a Suzuki 450 quad,My brother decided to go ahead and take the Polaris for one more rip.There is a little track on the beginning of Route18,And he was tearing It up some one yeld and he took his eyes off the trail for one Second.He looked back but he was already In 2nd gear upwards of 55mph.He tried to turn away but the wheels turned but the bike kept going straight .Well he slammed into the I-95 sign and the impact broke his kneck and shattered his D.O.T approved helmet

@dr.hugog.hackenbush94433 жыл бұрын
They never decresed the power. They simply had "eyebrows" over the exhaust port to make it more manageable. Bore the cylinder enough to remove them or resleeve it without the reliefs, and you'll have an ill-tempered and harder to ride bike again.
