if you knew how a two stroke makes boost you would not say it is impossible. That what really is impossible is that a four stroke will never make the same horsepower as the same size two stroke as that is totally impossible. The proof for this is the fact that four strokes suck air at a constant rate of 14.7 pounds per square inch at sea level. After that Mazurek pressure pressurize is the crankcase on a 2-stroke the piston on his way down compresses that mixture above atmospheric pressure. that is called boost as two strokes are internally supercharged 4 Strokes will never ever be able to do that. and this is not an opinion this is not debatable my instructors name was pop Yoshimura who invented the two-cycle engine for Honda. and no one in the last 10 to 20 years has ever figure it out how high to cycle actually works except for The world's greatest tuner that there ever was mr. Yoshimura my instructor

Back In 2001, when _team Chevy Trucks Kawasaki_ was building the KX250 Ricky Carmichael needed to battle indisputable Supercross King Jeremy McGrath, they shortened the Swingarm so the seat wouldn’t knock him off the foot pegs, they set the Kayaba Suspension Squatting *WAY* low in the back & real high in the front & they were running some _works SR parts_ from Japan, one of which being a _TPS carburetor_ with a programmable CDI, & his mechanic had the ability to map the carburetor & put the power right where Ricky wanted it… my point being, if someone wanted to, there’s stuff that does exist & is possible to build a 2-Stroke which would put the thumpers back into their place…trails…but _[shaking head no]_ am I the only one who sees what’s coming?!? Just the way Doug Henry ushered in the 4-Stroke Revolution back in 1997 on the prototype _YZM400F_ it’s about to happen again with Electric bikes with no gears, no fuel, no oil, no air filters, just a direct-drive monster with more torque, some batteries weighing probably more than the internal combustion engine (except the guys in the factory team will have theirs modded to run for two 9v batteries)

This shouldn't be a big suprise considering the CR 500 is about the same weight, produces about the same horsepower and ALOT more to torque. I can only imagine where 2 stroke tech would be if the big companies kept developing it for the last 20 years. Hell....The 2 stroke, twin cylinder 500cc Moto GP bikes from the early 2000's were pumping out an honest 200 hp.

The AMA, and FIM messed up big time when they changed rules to allow 4 strikes double the displacement advantage. Modern 4t are basically 1 cylinder of a F1 car. 😳😧 Change the rules back to be fair, displacement vs displacement no matter how many strokes. 450F vs 450 2T, 250F vs 250 2T. When the great Roger DeCoster says "you have to be more talented to race a two stroke" and legendary NESC and former Yamaha and KTM factory rider John Junkyard Dowd says "We are Pros, we race what we get paid to race but yes, most guys would rather race two strokes" that's more than enough to know 4T was a marketing scheme to COST you more money when it came time for repairs.

@donniebaker59843 жыл бұрын
a two stroke 125 will eat any four stroke 450 or bigger as all two strokes make internal boost that is ever increasing ..four strokes ate limited by the atmospheric pressure that study at 14.7 at sea level and cannot go any higher as two strokes are internally supercharged making boost that goes much higher than atmosphere constantly making more horsepower. It was pop Yoshimura who built the first two stroke engine for Honda and race it to a championship in 1971 1970 2 in Japan as it was a 125cc single-cylinder two-stroke my faster than any four stroke of the day. But then you have to know something about engines which you know nothing at all

It's a bit "misinformation" to say "doing the impossible". 2 strokes are just as good as 4 strokes, and are better than 4 strokes in many areas, and they are much lighter. The myth that you need an electronic fuel injected 4 stroke is a bunch of BS. The truth is, the bikes from 20 years(if in perfect condition) are competitive with the bikes today. The only area where there might be some "real" improvement is in the suspension. Otherwise 4 strokes are just a markerters and PR wet dream, making loads of money from all those willing to lay out $10,000 .... insane!!

@@marksommerville5857 a stock cr500 made 55hp, this is documented knowledge. A 19+ CRF450 makes at least 61hp, possibly upwards of 63. Again, this is documented. The CR500 COULD HAVE made more power, but it didn't. Modern 450s are quicker and faster. I'm sorry.

@@StrykerV8 of course modern 450s are faster. You keep stating the obvious. You clearly don't understand, (you just watched a bloody video showing EXACTLY what I'm talking about), As I said, educate yourself then you don't.need to search for everything.

@@StrykerV8 why are you sorry modern 450s are quicker than old 500 2 strokes. You've missed the point.

why 500cc 2 stroke beating a lesser cc 4 stroke a surprise? A 2 stoke has more torque and HP of 4 stroke with same cc. A fairer race is with a 600cc 4 stroke of similar weight
