What a wonderful surprise from your hubby. Shiplap did a fabulous job on your quilt, (I vote scrappy binding). Glad you are feeling better and I look forward to seeing how you like having a longarm of your very own. Have fun and Happy Stitching!

Thank you so much! Just a few more days and my longarm will be here.

So excited for you about the longarm! It is our way of giving...your hubby is a gem seeing that. I am sending a pile to the LAer here...going to go broke, but I have no desire to do the quilting. I used to quilt by hand, but no more of that for less than an heirloom, cand I'm doing more practical ones these days. No apologies for showing off your work on any craft. That's why there's fast forward. Lol. I don't understand people who won't look at beautiful things, even if they don't make them themselves. Have fun!

Candra, you are so sweet. Thank you. My husband is a gem! I had no idea he saw that in me.

I am all about a scrappy binding! But, I also like the plaid.

I still haven't decided which fabric I will bind it in. Even though I too like a scrappy binding, I'm leaning more towards just one fabric.

I really enjoy your floss tubes I can’t wait to hear about you learning to use a long arm that is something that way about that too chicken to take classes I have tried doing it on my domestics so I machine at home and I agree it is very difficult on your shoulders

Thanks, Jenny. I agree, it's not easy on a domestic. Fingers and toes crossed I can learn this longarm and not have huge tension issues.

And there are always new people watching 🙂. Sorry your not feeling well. It's good to take a break. Wash your hands, feed the body so you can feed the soul! 🙏 Do you recommend stitching the border 1st for cross stitch work? I do more quilting. Your quilt is pretty and nice job on the quilting. I like the bags too. Check out Pumpkin Hollow Quilts and how Olivia sets her program. 💖 I suggest white binding then it won't take away from the chevron colours and the quilting!

Thank you, Jayne. When it comes to stitching the border, I usually do stitch it first to make sure everything lines up. Although sometimes it makes more sense to start somewhere else in the pattern. The difficulty I had with Rose Farm Frame is that it doesn't show where each of the individual patterns should go within the frame.

I really love your quilt. I like how clean and crisp it looks with the white edges. I think I’d bind it in white. I love the idea of a scrappy binding but think it would take away from the look of the quilt.

Thank you. I'm literally doing the facepalm. Why didn't I think of that? Not once did I consider binding it in white.
