How do you join Friend Stitch
@HeatherNorthcreativeblessings2 жыл бұрын
Friendstitch is a virtual retreat put on by the designers from Heart in Hand (Cecilia Turner) and the sisters from Bent Creek. Follow them on Instagram to find out when their next retreat box goes on sale. This is the 3rd one they've put on and all 3 so far have been in the fall, but you never know. They may decide to do more since it has been so popular. You can also join their newsletter lists if they have one. That is a great way to get the scoop. ;) Sorry you missed this year's, but hopefully the patterns will go on sale for everyone soon.

@HeatherNorthcreativeblessings2 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Jennifer. I pulled them from my stash, which means I got them various places. Some at Shiplap (www.theshiplapquiltshop.com) some at The Craft Warehouse and some at The Paisley Duck (in Kelso, WA) The 2 main fabric lines I pulled from are Bramble Patch by Hannah Dale and A Country Weekend by Lisa Audit. The diagonal stripe is from Riley Blake Designs. I LOVE a striped binding so I buy them whenever I find them in colors I like. Happy Searching!

My friend and I are working on Tools of the Trade byannie. It will hold an 18x24 cutting mat. Earlier this year we made the travel bag 2.0. After tackling that bag, I think we can make any byannie pattern. Love your project bags. Have a great week.

How fun! The Tools of the Trade sounds like it would be perfect for me to take when I sew away from home. I'll go look that up! I want to make the A Place Everything 2.0 case and Running With Scissors. Anything to make it easier to take my sewing with me. Most of the time I take crossstitch, but when I take classes or meet with my quilt guild or sew with friends I need an easier way to organize and cart my stuff.

I really need a trip up there. I would love to go up for their stitchy times, but haven't made it happen yet. If you do go, let me know. I'd love to meet you in person and spend some stitchy time with you. I'm so sorry for the losses you're going through. Sending you many prayers and hugs. 🤗🤗🙏🙏 I've never been a model stitcher but have always wanted to do it. How awesome that you have some opportunities for it. I did sign up with Chantelle at 141 Design company to stitch for her (I'm one of many). I think it's going to be fun. She pays by the stitch for smaller projects, but not the bigger ones. I'll be curious to see how it goes for you. Thanks so much for sharing with us!

It is so ok to be in pain. Life is short. Today I was going through boxes of pictures from my parents house. Dad died back in November. It's hard. You don't know what to do or feel. It's ok. If you didn't grieve it would mean you didn't love deeply. And you do, so grieve away. I'm glad you got some retail therapy. We need to remember that there is still beauty in the world. You have great taste... Hugs and prayers, sweet lady. God bless

Casandra, I'm so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine a world without my parents in it. Thank you for sharing your experience of grief and letting me know it's ok to feel what I feel. Sometimes I'm ok and then out of nowhere a wave of grief hits me and I start crying. The thought did cross my mind that I need to stop making friends so I wouldn't hurt so much when I lose them, but the love & joy and friendship and family is worth the time of grief when they are gone. God bless you with peace in your journey of grief too. 💗

So true. It's "only" 1.5-2 hours for me to get to Acorns & Threads, but that involves traffic and navigating Portland. Anything closer would be welcome for me too. I've never done needlepoint before.
