Hey Jeff, when you have someone on the crane you have to click the button below the square spot that toggles where you want the empty pot set, you will see the table on the right. You want it on that and they will set the pot on the table for baiting :)

Jeff. Where you add the crew member to the crane. Below that is a toggle selection to change from setting pots and pulling pots. Hope this helps.

Jeff next time you go crab fishing and you put a worker on the crane you have to switch from stocking pots to setting pots under the crane slot

Hey Jeff! Love this game thanks to you. Did you know when you cook and you have the knife and fork icon, you can drag that to a resting crew mate to give them a boost. Looking forward to trawling, i couldn't figure it out, or may have been a bug. Great game though and great video :)

There is a switch below the crane operator that changes where they move the pots. It is by default set for them to stack the pots. you can change it to have them move the pots to the table. It totally works, you just have to tell them where you want the pots.

I love this series! And your comment about the joystick most commercial fishing vessels like that don’t have steering wheels they have jets on the side of the boat that helps it turn if I’m not mistaken feel free to call me out if I am

While many larger vessels like this one do use bow thrusters, that joystick is used for the rudder. Modern vessels use electric over hydraulic steering. Though, I'm sure the bow thruster controls can be on the stick as well.

Also if I’m not mistaken the bow thrusters are only used when manoeuvring in tight spaces like in a port but wouldn’t be used to turn in open waters that what the rudders and on some ships the blades can actually pivot

The crane operator was not doing anything because that's what he was being told to do, under the crane operator crew slot there is a "switch" with two symbols one looks like a pot, means hauling and the other looks like a table means set pot, it's a toggle able switch that in turn "makes him do something"

You need to switch the switch to the under the crane logo to the table instead then the worker will set pots and switch it again to haul pots.

The reason you crain operator ant working to set is because you have to switch it to set right below the person you set on crain is a switch in crew management just click it

I have an issue trying to fish crab on Xbox. Each time the crane sets the pot down, it glitches my boat backwards at about 20 knots. It doesn't do any damage, but it is quite annoying!

Hey Jeff when you crab fish try not jumping ahead time until you have all the pots set and remember the time you set the first pot and the last pot then jump ahead the total of 18 hours but minus the amount of time

You can click on any buoy in the map to see how long it's been set for. Subtract this from 18hrs 40 min (time takes to turn blue) to figure out how long to sleep.

Hey Jeff Favignano, I have fished out of Digby port for the last ten years, and ran boats for over half that time here. You don't usually use autopilot coming out of the Digby Gut because of all the current coming in the Digby Basin from the Bay of Fundy. I don't know if this game actually implemented that but, that's a thing. Love the video, think I'm going to have to pick this game up!

When you click info on a crew member does it say whether they can operate a crane?

Yes it tells you their level for a dozen plus "abilities", like pot baiting, or cooking, or longline hauling, etc. They can level their skill over time when doing a task. There is essentially a skill for every job that can be done in the game.

The sonar not working is a bug, and it effects your pots. Appreantly there is a patch in a few days that should fix this.
