Thank the maker we got a FAQ, I wish they had better community engagement but this is a step in the right direction. As always this the best Armada content on KZbin, I wouldn't be playing this game without your good works.

I don't get how AMG has these massive licenses and has such an... inconsistent presence and seeming lack of oversight. That their website is still a flying toaster animation away from being a Geocities site completely blows my mind, especially since they want everyone to go there for everything now.

There is a decent online discord that organizes digital stuff too, regardless the models are just fun to look at. Got a Venator just to have and that escalated really quickly lol.

I played an SSD and Gladiator against Anakin with two Venator II and a Victory I, Officer Palpatine was the hero of the battle, actually keeping me from dying by round two forcing him to spend one of his double salvos every time he wanted to shoot

I hate being a Debby downer, and I was so excited when RR2 launched, but this new ruling *really* does show AMG has no clue how this game works. Draven is garbage now, Anakin is far to overpowered. I was okay with the Triple tap, but the double Salvo is to much. I'm almost terrified of what would happen should AMG release physical products. This whole fiasco does not bode well for Armadas future.

You know what I'd love to see is a Star Trek-esque single player mode where you can explore, map out a gas cloud. No idea how it'd be done but I think it'd be a fun thing to do

Maybe using a gozanti, 2 rogues, the Summa rules, purgills, dust clouds, and exogorths? You could make it so that you have to attack tokens to collect them and explore more of the cloud, with a friend perhaps setting up the scenario by putting paper over obstacles which is removed when the part is explored.

Also, add reverse and speed 0 yaw maneuvers, as every Star Trek ship has at least that much agility. Also, Salvo, Redirect, Contain, and Brace can be used at speed 0. Reverse the range ruler dice application, with black dice at long range only, as photon torpedoes can't fire on targets that are too close to the ship. I've been homebrewing a Trek skin for Armada since I started playing the game!

You guys are so lucky! Here in South Africa, there is no real Armada scene, I got into it and then realized there is no one else playing it. So eventually I got into MCP, but damn I would love to play this more! Shatter Point on the other hand just looks like MCP set in the Star Wars Universe (which I secretly think is GREAT!). Keep up the great work!

After playing a super optimized Anakin list at Richmond open the future plan for dealing with Anakin without conceding is malicious compliance I.e will speed 0 my ships and just be tabled. To play against him is suffering. Rather not do that.

Honestly, this is really bad for Armada. Anakin needs to loose the double salvo and probably also the triple tap. Think about it. Even if he he can only attack twice during his activation, he still enables you to shoot from the same arc twice and also adds a total of 2 dice per ship if you also salvo during your activation. (Needs Local Fire Control/Reactive Gunnery to not burn tokens but everyone is gonna staple those to Anakin anyway) Adding 2 dice per ship plus being able to pseudo-advanced gunnery with every ship is already incredibly strong, compare that to Romodi, which for 20 points adds one die if attacks are obstructed or Ackbar, which for 38 points adds two dice if you only attack from the sides. Anakin would already be very competitive even without the triple tap and double salvo. Another comparison is Commander Obi-Wan Kenobi. He is one point cheaper than Anakin... and saves you one point of damage per ship per round. While Anakin adds like 9 dice to every ship per round (+4 during your activation, +1 during regular salvo, +4 during extra salvo)

It's why I don't really respect AMG having Armada. I don't think they take competitive play or balance into the game. They seem to prefer heroes and named characters more than any semblance of balance. IMO, Anakin needs to be more expensive. Close to 40.

I feel like some of these answers directly contradict the rules. So while in play Matchstick is within it's own aura, and thus gains Rogue. Hyperspace Rings (Offensive Retrofit ) only applies to "non-Rogue squadrons", and gives them Scout. The "Effect Use and Timing" rules state: "◊ During setup, ships and squadrons that have not yet been deployed are in play, and their ship, squadron, and upgrade cards are active, unless that ship or squadron has been destroyed or set aside". So Matchstick is "in play" and "active", but doesn't benefit from it's own aura, only during Setup? But it CAN gain Scout? I have no idea how they thought that Anakin is in any way balanced. And there's still no clarification on how to resolve a Salvo Attack when it's not triggered by the effect of the Defense Token. The rules there have replacement effects for the normal attack resolution, and they always reference being the defender, so there's no concrete way to Salvo Attack on offense. I wish they had provided justifications for these clarifications, rather than simple a "Yes" or "No".

We have a fairly large group in my area of the US who have been playing for years and all of us agree that the game just needs a complete point rebalance. We don't need new shiny things, just print a card pack (ala Legion) with new points and you will basically have a "brand new" game.

I think Anakin is fubar. A commander that allows adding salvo as a 2nd attack when the attacker does not have double arc would be great in itself. Allowing the third attack with an improved salvo is broken. Allowing a return salvo of two improved salvos on defense is really the fubar part. Feels like there was no playtesting of this.

Does anyone think that Hera counters sloane? She’s not a commander, but distance 1-2 is not hard to achieve with an x wing ball. With bigs and Hera, it seems like the perfect anti squadron and anti ship build.

Who the heck designed Draven? He literally does nothing haha. Why would you ever want to spend a token over a dial? It makes no sense. Even two tokens vs dial plus token, dial plus token is way better than two tokens ever will be. It just crazy why they even printed this. They don't know what to do with this game, I haven't been on the game is dead train until I saw Draven :P AMG need to understand armada and fast :(
