I just wanna give another case example up until recently. You didn’t really hear about shootings happening in countries like Finland you still don’t really hear about shootings like that in countries like turkey. I’m not saying that they do not happen because they do happen but I’m saying the number is instantly smaller, even when accounting for population by comparing per capita if everybody has a gun or if you at least think that everybody has a gun you are less likely to pull yours out. You are less likely to bring the situation to a level with firearms need to be pulled out, especially with a robust criminal justice system solid police force

On everything 💯 😢. This past 2 years of my life had me in a space that it was sometimes hard to breathe. Yet I did 😊. From losing my father Xmas eve of 2023, 2 days before my 45th birthday. Along with the 20plus deaths in total currently today's 08/14 2024. I've endured while being homeless in a new state and city. To finally 🙌 getting into my beautiful apartment. To still living my best days ever with love and grace. I have seen Ali before different types I believe because when I saw his name I said to myself common name but great storytelling. So I watched Domino affect one and I was hooked. I researched everything he did to really get my laugh on. My beliefs in healing makes me a comedy fan. So much so that one of the first things I did was go see him in Dallas and he didn't disappoint. His stories added positivity during dark days. #thankgodforcomedians😊

Typical white man Vs black men shit. We do shit cus we literally tryna break our poverty curse. White mfs do it because they're infatuated with the lifestyle and think selling drugs is fun. Blacks don't wanna commit crimes we would love to have a trust fund and just have to go to college and worry about finding ourselves. Seeing ur momma cry cus the lights off and eviction notes on the front door does something to the spirit. I done did some out of character Ultra slimeball snake shit to mfs that loved and trusted me. Guess what I would've did it again to cus at the end of the day u eat or get ate. Remember y'all always be a shark never a shrimp.
@ronniegraves23 ай бұрын
Literally this proves what I Always tell my white homies. I get so mad at them for doing hot shit just to make they own money. Mfs will risk 10-25 years of they freedom to prove to they rich ass daddy they don't need them, when it's plenty black kids that wish they had a father, better yet a father with millions. All they gotta do is listen to him but they rather be criminals to prove a point. But hey I guess everyone wants what they don't have.

Shit, he needs 3 movies just to get started. What Adam Sandler and Tyler Perry have done in regards to the number of movies they’ve made, combine that number and give it to Ali. I’ll bet almost anything that the number of instant all time classic comedy movies he makes will be greater than theirs. And that’s not to down play the number of great movies by Sandler and Perry. I fucking love their movies and rarely have I ever watched one and not enjoyed it. It’s purely just to say that I think Ali would be that much better at making a more compelling and all out hilarious story, in a movie format. No matter which direction he wanted to go with each one. His ability to create a story that you get so drawn into that you just want to hear what’s next is second to none. If he translates that to a movie format, it would be 2+ hours of truly entertaining and can’t stop laughing moments, spread out by some real hard hitting, emotionally powerful, real life relatable moments.

Well half of your tale is right, rap is ruining its own people. Hip hop is not rap. But it takes a certain person to know diff. But the N word isn’t real like racism, you all make it live on. Stop saying N word yourself and stop giving it a life. You all drummed it up even higher than it was in 80/90s. It was dying out and you all kept N alive and made it more powerful and weapon led it all by yourselves. If you stop reacting to it nobody will use it anymore, stop reacting upset and laugh at someone that tries to use the N word on you, take the power away from the word…but nah..you all just ramped it up and weaponized it worse! Good job. 🤦♂🤦♂

1:42:30 Being raised Muslim doesn't mean all your family are recent immigrants. And why single-out East Africa when West Africa itself is 70% Muslim? There's many people who convert to Islam in the US and globally every year. In the 1930s, the federal WPA (Works Progress Administration) surveyed Black people in the Carolinas and Georgia who described Muslim grandparents. Although the 19th century is when Islam in the US from the lineage of African slaves died out, the 1880s also marked the beginning of the Islamic revival, where Americans from diverse White and Black backgrounds converted and even published Muslim newspapers. New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey were the hubs of the first-wave Islamic Revival era. The 1920s is when more foreign Muslim influences entered the mix. DC, Maryland, Michigan, Illinois, California and briefly Louisiana became additional hubs during the second-wave Islamic Revival era which saw various different Muslim groups take form. The 1980s and 1990s marked Sunnism becoming the preeminent form of Islam among Black Muslim Americans. There's a lot of history from the 19th and 20th centuries that I'm leaving out. The 1940s and 1950s had saw the rapid ascent of the Nation of Islam (NOI). After Elijah Muhammad died in 1975, his son WD Mohammed took over and it gradually resulted in a schism in the movement as WDM pivoted towards Sunni Islam. In 1978, the two formally split as Louis Farrakhan became leader of the restored NOI whereas WD Mohammed led the American Society of Muslims (ASM). WDM's siblings and family members were split too. The growth of Islam in the US prison system dates back to sometime in the 1940s and strengthened through the Civil Rights movement and the Black Power movement eras. -The Civil Rights era is counted as being from ~1954 to 1968. Note that the NOI had been on the rise since the 1940s and Malcolm X came out of prison in 1952. -The Black Power era is counted as being from ~1966 to 1988. Note that Malcolm X died in 1965. Black Muslims jump-started both movements. If you look into who were in the RAM (Revolutionary Action Movement), Republic of New Afrika, Us Organization, BPP (Black Panther Party), BLA (Black Liberation Army) and similar groups, you'll find many prominent Black Muslims. In 1964, Malcolm X had also become a member of RAM which was founded in 1962. They were the first Marxist Black liberation group and their chairman Max Stanford went on to convert to Islam years later. Bobby Seale who was previously affiliated with the RAM went on to cofound the BPP in 1966. Many activists and revolutionaries converted to Islam in the 20th century, as did people from other walks of life. The 1992 Watts treaty that de-facto ended absolute-enmity between Bloods and Crips was signed at the Masjid al-Rasul, led by Shia cleric Mujahid Abdul-Karim. The NOI plays an active role in many states to mediate and de-escalate between local gangs, especially in Los Angeles County. There are local Sunni groups involved in similar efforts across the country too. Black P Stone chairman Jeff Fort's daughter Ameena Matthews is also a Chicago anti-violence activist and is married to Sunni cleric Abdur Rashied who follows the Sufi Naqshbandi Order. Despite arguably being the most influential demographic in the US relative to overall population size, Black Muslims weren't even depicted by Hollywood (which is White and Jəw¡sh dominated) until Spike Lee's _Malcolm X_ in 1992 and HBO's _Oz_ in 1997. The only appearances were in a few documentaries and daytime talk shows where they were painted in a fringe manner. Warner Bros even shut-off funding for the Malcolm X film and Spike had to turn to celebrities for donations. Black Muslim Americans have always been prominent in sports and music, however, and persevered through the late-1990s and 2000s when the establishment arguably tried to suppress them.

4th ward is North if downtown. 3rd ward is South if UH. Clyde Drexler had a restaurant over there. Almost all of the wards are being bought up and regentrified now though, tbh. SW Houston around Sharpstown/Alief is still way bad. Sunnyside, Dead End, Southpark, Acres Homes, Greenspoint, Trinity Gardens, Cavalcade, Denver Harbor...lots of bad spots are still around. but its not like we have project buildings like in New York or Chicago. We're way spread out so we beef different than cities that are built upwards if that makes sense.

Ali is hilarious but I would love to hear about his parents! His family. We know about the drugs in detail. It would be cool to know about his family, parents. What he did when he was released from prison. Where did he start, was it a struggle to stay out of selling drugs, or was he just done and wanted more. It’s the aftermath I would love to know. Salute to 1973 that’s me!!! We saw it all! And the music was amazing!!!!
