All devices use the memory on the device for the OS and what ever else is on it, so if you buy a device that is marketed as 8 gigs you are getting somewhere like 6 gigs usable....As for the 188 mb's for Apps,that may be 188mb's dedicated to the device and able save more on the memory card....it said the media card wasnt installed when he looked in the media storage on the fone

im not a blackberry fan boy but i do own the 9780 and the iphone 4 and i must say i use blackberry alot more than the iphone, i like it alot more. The new bold seems badass when do they launch out officially? Can I purchase one now?

i was thinking about getting this phone? any thoughts ... i would be upgrading from my current bold 9000 .. the one concern i have is the battery life... now yes i keep reading reviews of how good blackberrys battery is but trust me i can kill my bolds battery in a matter of hours :p will this one be any better?

Oh Kevin you are so funny, i guess as a BB user and abuser craving for years to RIM to develop a better Bold like the 9000 that reaction was expected lol I am still with my 9700 after my 9000 begun getting old a couple of years ago. My 9700 was a refurbish so it already shutting down. But thanks to Rogers i will get my Bold 9900 this saturday yay!!!! I will react just like you lol

So it's wider than the 97x0, it has a GLOSSY back, the Holster is less convenient (with a clip and a flap on it) and a smaller (mah) Battery? SERIOUSLY RIM? I know I am not keen on a Touchscreen (used to be an iPhone owner and much prefer my BB) so considering the drawbacks above, that quick unboxing just told me that the 9900 isn't for me and as much as I want a new phone, I'll need to stick to my "old" bold. Such a shame!

HELP. Should i get one of these or an hTC EVO 3D? You have to keep the device for 2 years... There's no sense to spend money on something thats outdated from the day you buy it. Its not like its going to cost $300 like a Note II would. At the most the 9930 is only going to be $50-100 less than a BB 10 device. Plus if you shop around you might find a good deal on BB 10 that could make the price gap even smaller.
