Where I live, the cops don't use red lights anymore, red lights are more for paramedics and fire. They still have their whites and yellows too for other things, they just don't use red lights on most patrol cars anymore.

you gotta be in the profession lmao. when i first started police dispatching i had the same problem with the radio. especially when certain guys use slang and lingo. over time though you get to know terms like bus, rig, hook, wrecker, etc and all the mumbled variations of the such that gets thrown over the air as mock 10 speed without having to use a playback device

The rumbler? It's used in conjunction with the normally higher-pitched sirens because of it's lower frequency, which makes it more noticeable in environments with a lot of excess noise such as dense urban areas and busy city streets. The lower frequency penetrates hard surfaces like windows and car bodies better.

I really think they should add on the light bar some bright white lights like "riot lights" basically really bright lights on the both sides of the light bar for when its dark and foggy or they're going down a dark alley way they'll be able to see 10x better.
