Cracking Harvard or Stanford MBA with Average GMAT Scores or an Average Profile | MBA Application

Can i apply to Stanford as a fresher?

Is it possible to get into stanford if i graduated from not so famous big college but got very high grades and if i excel in my other aspects?

Absolutely! Stanford values diversity and looks for candidates with a unique story. Rocking high grades and excelling in other aspects can definitely make you stand out. So, don’t get disheartened just because your college isn’t a big name. Focus on showcasing your strengths, passion, and what you bring to the table.

If i score more than 770 in gmat can i get into stanford or harvard with no work experience

Hi, Thank you for your question. It is not just the high GMAT Score that Stanford/Harvard are looking for. You should work for some years before applying or else an MBA will not make sense to you and you will not learn a lot. Go work for sometime, and then look at these programs to elevate your career. Is 5 years of work ex minimum criteria ? Won't 3 years work ex help ?

Hi Udit, Thank you for your question. 5 years is not the minimum requirement but just a statistical representation of what the class normally has across these business schools. If it is a minimum requirement, some schools in Canada/Australia will have mentioned this categorically under the Admissions Requirements- and if you see it there- then that is set in stone- You and I cannot influence in anyway through our application strategy. But if the minimum requirement isn't stated, and just the averages are projected there, then you definitely fit in with 3 years too. You will have to show the maturity and progression in your work experience though. If you have 3 years of experience at the time of asking this question, you will have almost 4 by the time you join the MBA Program. So, you are absolutely in the ball-park for the majority of the schools. Hope this help. Go Rock! Jatin
