It’s top 200 in the world for MBA and the university is pretty well reputed in Canada so yes it’s a decent option in my opinion. What I would suggest though is try connecting with some of the alumnis either on LinkedIn or Facebook and ask them about their experiences so you’d get an idea about how good the program is.

@@manavkabra9659 I'd say all of the ones you mentioned are ranked higher in terms of reputation of the MBA program when compared to Degroote. Have you looked at the Sauder MBA program though? It's ranked top 100 itw for MBA and the university (UBC) consistently ranks amongst the top 50 universities in the world.

@@Rojit.flairaxis Outside of BC, UWC is not well-known. I think Canada is saturated with MBA's. They may not be able to find a management positions after graduation and will be underemployed. For example, if you study 2 years in MBA, you can be granted with 3-yr PGWP. PGWP is an Open WP (OWP), you can find work unrelated to your studies such as working as a laborer. Due to high cost of living in BC and low salary, you could have a hard time repaying your student loans in India.

@@smwk2017 Well, what I got to know from some of the uni alumni is that, as you said, many MBAs out there are from prestigious universities as well. But, when they go for job interviews, they don't feel any difference in their institute's background. Instead, employers mostly see the experience and emphasise skill sets. Outside of BC may be employers give priority to universities, idk very well. Nevertheless, I believe getting a relevant job primarily depends on a person's skill set and past career background. University name will play a minimal role. In fact, many UCW graduates did land relevant management-level jobs

Many new immigrants lack Canadian experience, and employers don't recognize their Indian experience as equal. Many end up underemployed. Having MBA could affect the chance of finding non-management jobs because of over-qualification. Employers worry that this guy would leave as soon as he finds a management job position somewhere.

@yuvikakhanna7040 JD is a 3 year post graduate law degree. JD stands for doctor of judiciary. A lot of universities offer double degrees in MBA and JD, both are completed in 3 years together. After MBA and JD, companies will die to hire you in their administration department and law department. You will be considered as an ideal candidate and will stand out with your double degrees. If you do want to do JD/MBA, make sure to give your LSAT and GMAT/GRE in your final year
