Information and experiment on cracking out the new tough PSA slab case, and my thoughts on returning cracked out cert labels back to PSA for deactivation 👌

Here’s a trick I just did to get mine out. Use painters tape to slide it down the crack onto the back of the card and then just pull it up. ⬆️ Bang. Got my card safe and sound but it was a pain in the A though 😆
@littlevictoriessportscards1979 ай бұрын
Interesting! I like that tip 👍 thank you!
@FISHchON9 ай бұрын
Yeah you bet. Once you’ve spread out the case enough to slide the card out, that’s when you want to slide the painters tape down to the back of the card. Easy peasy. The hard part is cracking it to begin with 😭

No prob! Hope it helped. If after freezing the top part of the slab cracking is still giving you trouble, flip it over and try cracking from the bottom of slab👌

Hey, love, your videos, always entertaining and informative, and don’t worry they will never ban you. They like when people crack out and resubmit them because it’s more money for them lol.

I bet you’re right 👍 Plus I would make some epic vids about the ban if they did 😂 Thanks for the support!

Good stuff!! Thank you. I took a side cutters and just cut down the whole side of the slab. I get to freaked out trying to hold it open and pull it out the top. But I managed to completely pinch the edge of a card about the 5th one I cut out. With the slab being so rubbery, trying to cut it and some of the slab just pinched down to far into the card. But I appreciate you putting out this video and definitely going to give it a shot! I’ve tried cutting out slabs because with a dremel or hacksaw and there’s just so much little plastic chunks everywhere and they’re static and work there way into the slab. So hopefully this method works out!
@littlevictoriessportscards197 Жыл бұрын
It’s fun hearing everyone’s crack out technique 👌 The dremel or hacksaw does sound scary with the static. I’m confident we will all figure out our best way to crack out the new slabs 🤪 Thanks for watching Mac!

I've had amazing results using my dremel. Using a rotary wheel and slowly cut around all 4 sides!!!

I’ve heard people recommend a dremel too 👍 I’ll check it out! Thanks for the tip

Interesting insights on returning the labels. To clarify, you don't send these label back when you submit cards. You send the labels back separately. I would probably do it anonymously. Have you checked to see later if they de activate the labels you send them? Great test on cracking slabs. Thank you.
@littlevictoriessportscards197 Жыл бұрын
Correct, I send them back separately, and anonymously 👌 I haven’t checked if they actually deactivate though…that’s a good idea. Maybe I’ll check a few certs in about a month and see if they have been removed 👍 Thanks for the support! Glad you liked the slab crack test

Have you tried tinsnips? I clip each top corner and the entire top edge and it pops right out. BUT that is the old slabs, haven’t tried new ones yet
@littlevictoriessportscards197 Жыл бұрын
I haven’t tried tinsnips, but that’s a good tip for people 👌 I had a solid snapping system until these new slabs…they’re a whole new ballgame 😬

I just cracked 10 PSA slabs and one of the them was the new slab. It took me 30 mins and was not my best work. But I have never sent back the certificate in the past, but understand the reasoning. Do you put a return address on the envelope or just put it in with your submission?
@littlevictoriessportscards197 Жыл бұрын
I put my PO Box on the envelope but no name :) And I include a nice note with the certs 👍 I just mailed back those certs today. I’m happy you can see my logic of why I feel it’s important to send them back 👌 Thanks for watching!

I'm surprised at how you "crack" with that wrench. I see most use needle nose type pliers to take out the corners of each side to make a large opening for the screwdriver to then "pop" open the case. It's worked fine for me, so maybe that could be easier?
@littlevictoriessportscards197 Жыл бұрын
I’m old school and stick with what has always worked for me…the trusty wrench 😊 I have it down to a science, well, the old slabs anyway lol. Unfortunately you can’t really ‘pop’ the new ones, so I don’t think using a needle nose would help either :( I’m gonna go with the freezer method for now 😂

That sucks about your order man, the biggest reason why I haven’t submitted anything for grading. Would be absolutely devastated if some of my valuable PC cards got lost in the mail. Hoping they turn up for you! Also, are these new slabs a plus for SGC because SGC slabs now are the easiest to crack, not counting HGA 😖
@littlevictoriessportscards197 Жыл бұрын
Definitely a plus for the other companies and for the old psa slabs 🤪 And yeah, I totally understand being fearful of losing important cards during grading shipping (especially during the holidays, next year I’m going to wait til after holiday mail rush). I’m really worried about this order, but SGC customer service has been excellent so far 👍

Hey bud I need ur help, how much does it cost to grade sports cards wth psa I just paid for membership for cheaper grading but when on website I type mahomes for submitting and it's not popping up its only showing yugioh Pokémon ect, I'm confused please help
@littlevictoriessportscards197 Жыл бұрын
Glad you got a membership 👍 Sports cards should be $19 per card for value bulk (20 card minimum). On their website, click submit, click start, click start new submission, click trading cards, click grading, click no autograph authentication, click next, click value bulk of whatever service level you want, click next 👍 This should get ya started. Thanks for watching!

Invest in a bandsaw. So much easier and safer than cracking slabs.

Fuk PSA for making the new slabs like this. If I want my damn card(property) out of their packaging I shouldn't have to risk destroying it to do so.
@littlevictoriessportscards1974 ай бұрын
Luckily they went back to their old slabs cuz of quality control issues with the new one 👍
