Renowned music producer and sound designer Stephan Oberhoff is getting 6 levels deep into the amazing world of ethnic feels and grooves, this time: The elusive and tantalizing Brazilian rhytmic feel called "Suinge".
"Guys and gals, get ready - let's look together under the hood of "Suinge", the amazing 'engine' that drives most Brazilian rhythms - how it came about, how it works and how you can apply it to your own tracks!"
✅Grab your copy of the "Pandemic Pandeiro" here (still only $ 29.95!) 👉 👉 👉

"I've been meaning to do this for so incredibly long and FINALLY had gotten an afternoon off at the Creation Station where I could devote some time and energy to share with you some of the secrets that had become tangible for me in this amazing world of energizing and joyous rhythmic feels inherent in almost all native Brazilian music.
I discovered that it's possible, in Pro Tools, to analyze, extract and influence the beats we are working with in our digital workstations by quantizing our tracks to conform more or less intensely to the extracted feel and pulse of live instrument performances - like the amazing example of "Suinge" (as they call the Brazilian swing) from Rio Grooves in this video, which allows us to demonstrate the energy that gets added to each quarter note, very beautifully!
Yes, the Brazilian Suinge ADDS ENERGY TO EACH 16 th NOTE !!
For demonstration purposes I even programmed a simple and joyous upbeat Samba Pattern with Drums, Bass and Percussion and - which is the core purpose of this video - allows you to gradually tune into this feel and compare it to straight mathematical 16ths (and then how grossly boring those straight 16ths sometimes sound against these organic and vibrant South American pulses)."
Please consider subscribing to this channel and please hit the like button and/or comment if you feel inspired by what you saw and heard!
Also mentioned in the video is the brand new PANDEMIC PANDEIRO, the first custom software in the growing lineup of virtual instruments which we have begun releasing here from the Creation Station!
This instrument is available now for only $ 29.95 and is unbelievably easy to play and extremely realistic!
There is a a whole video devoted to it's functionality which you can find here:

Thanks Sean! Isn't it interesting what happens when you are aware of it and then seek it out? It makes everything without Suinge sorta lame LOL

Stephan you explained the Brazilian Suinge so well! And this video and the “how-to” in ProTools to create it from a production standpoint is simply outstanding. Thanks for posting and your knowledge is simply beyond!

Great to see you Stephan! I loved the video, very well done and was very insightful. Kevin King hooked us up. Maybe we even met on one of your horn arrangements and I played the saxophone. I think you gave me some help with my Protools and also some charts way back probably 20 years ago. Nice work! All the best to you! Rick Rossi
