Hey Jonathan, thanks for the info man, I'm glad I got your course, it's a very good investment for me, I'm using your postcard template this season, just working on some details.

Your correct on speed. I won a bid on a factory job 2 years ago because i was the one who responded. I wasn't the cheapest as i bid it high not really wanting to get it but wound up taking it.

Thanks for sharing. A really beginner question - how do you even find out that some commercial property in your area might be looking for bids? Is it word of mouth or looking for properties that are close to build completion or something else?

If I'm doing work for a client in a neighborhood I will ask who takes care of the entrances and common areas and ask to get in contact with the president of the hoa. short of that, you can walk into businesses and tell them you would like to put in a bid for their grounds maintenance.

Do you have an example of a sales letter? I've always done estimates through quickbooks but would like it to be more professional.

My question, do you present this quote through Yardbook with their format? Or do you create your own format with Microsoft Word or something of the sort and deliver the quote in person inside a folder with advertisement stating key reasons why your company would be the better option?

Yes I use an estimate template in Yardbook and itemize what all we will do

@@FloridaTurfPros I specifically talking about presenting estimate to potential businesses or HOAs customer. Do you treat the estimate process for those as you would independent residential owners? You’re the first person to tell me you use Yardbooks and not a Word document or something of the sort. Do you send estimate to potential customer through Yardbook or save the estimate as pdf and send directly from you business email?

Do you sell just your contract? We won a pretty big contract surprisingly, and we dont really have a contract and there really isnt much out there but Brian’s Lawn Maintenance contract and his seem pretty vague.

Hey man, what I have for sale in TurfProsAcademy regarding a contract does not sound like it’s what you need. That is basically an outlined template of how I won a bid and the terminology I used to win the contract… Sounds like you need a bona fide scope of work document outlining the specifics of your particular agreement with your client.
