This is exactly what I needed right now. I have 3 employees and hiring has proven to be the most difficult part of my business. This is spot on though, and I can’t wait to hear part 2. Thanks Johnathan!

Uniforms may seem expensive, but go a long way when it comes to professionalism on the field. Spencer field run tomorrow @0530 Jonathan!

An employee has many hidden costs that many do not consider when thinking about hiring someone. Don't expect to double the production and double the bottom line. Typically, the bottom line is initially reduced due to the extra expenses, and one can expect about 70-80% efficiency with well trained employees. Many companies go from solo to having an employee back to solo because it is such a large hit on the bottom line. Great topic and video.

I think last week's multiple 110 heat index days after a storm rolled through last week triggered this topic for the solo guys.

What takes me 4/5 days a week, would take me and an employee half of that. So I feel like they would have to be part time until I can build client base and acquire more work. Nervous about attempting to hire. 😅

That's exactly what I am doing. Part time. And sell sell sell

I’m at that exact point right now. Come spring time I’ll be completely slammed but if I were to add a full time employee It’d free up too much time. My plan is to hire a high school kid near me (some get out around lunch) and ease into a full time employee without the worries of having an older employee that NEEDS 40 hours a week to afford things. I also see this was 4 months ago you made this comment, have you hired anybody and what’d you end up going with?

@@samuelwayne5313 not yet, still planning on hiring someone in the Spring. Probably going to do what you’re talking about and hire a young’n for church or someone I know hopefully.

Great content! I’m curious about benefits, like health insurance etc. Any insight on that for part 2?

I currently do not offer health insurance. Frankly, the plans I have researched are just out of reach.
