Yes we met this past weekend and he told me about the karbatschen he sent to you. Very impressive! !! Past weekend we had our traditional cracking highlight (Kirchweih) so we spend a few hours of cracking and talking about the whip world. We both hope to learn the queensland crossover with our whips, but its not easy with those heavy whips! Gruß Guido

Great show. Visit south germany, switzerland or austria. There are challenges for cracking. Pronunciation is: Speak the last "e" in Karbatsch"e" not like often in english like "I" in "I"daho or in ch"e"se dont make it high and long. Its more like "e" in "e"stimation or in d"e"stiny. A shorter lower "e" like you breath out when sombody hit you in the stomach. Maybe like "Che" in Che Guevara. Karbat"che"

Do to the loops does that technically make it a stock whip or does it need to have a "keeper" and what makes a keeper different from a loop to look connection?
@Adam-Winrich6 жыл бұрын
G1NG3R 420 A stockwhip has the keepers interlocking. There are other whips that join the handle and thong with loops tied together with lace, including the Hungarian whip. So, with a stockwhip, it is the loops themselves that join together.

@Adam-Winrich6 жыл бұрын
Horia Stoica Yes, for some reason they use a foreign name for this whip from the Lake Constance area. Another traditional German whip is called a Goassl rather than peitsche.

AdamCWM You pronounced it very good. The only flaw was that you turned the e at the end to an i.
@666magyar2 жыл бұрын
@@Adam-Winrich not quite. the term "goassl" is only used in the south. that means nothing more than Geissel (another word for whip) only in the dialect spoken in the south of Germany, Switzerland and Austria. but the actual word is Geissel. greetings from west germany where real german is spoken :-D
