A Brilliant Cryptic Crossword And How To Do It!

It's just past midnight here in the UK on Feb 13th and Simon, foolishly, decides to record a "quick" live-solve of the just-published Times crossword.... It proves to take rather longer than hoped but, for all that, it is a sensational puzzle full of wonderful wordplay.
