So beautiful! And you make it look so easy to do! I got the tea dye distress ink, much better! I also got one called friar brown from Artiste (docrafts), they are only £2 per ink pad! It's almost identical to the tea dye distress ink! So I'll be buying those in future! I got a new ink dabber thingy, a round one this time, plus 20 spare pads, but also got 2 make up brushes, the ones that are shaped a bit like a toothbrush. Omg i love the brushes for inking! Then i tried the ink dabber for gesso, and it's amazing! I couldn't get my gesso as light as yours, so i thought "i wonder...?" I dabbed the teeniest bit of gesso and then dabbed it off, and i just scuff it over like you would for inking! Great alternative for anyone that... isn't Gi basically! I don't know how you do it, but it is nowhere near as effortless as you make it seem! But I'm glad I've been experimenting to find alternative ways of applying things. I also have a large chunk of memory foam that was our mattress topper, but we got a new one. I tear pieces off it for inking etc and that is also great for achieving light gessoing! I think any old sponge would be a great alternative for anyone trying to achieve super light gesso, and failing miserably! Just dab it off well, like really well, because you can always add more right? But can't take it off once it's too much. These are so pretty. Just the thumbnail for the video got me all excited! I refused to watch last night because i wanted to have slept first, to really appreciate it. I don't think you realise how good you are, you probably think what you're doing is so basic, and yes, the steps themselves are easy to do, but what's not easy is getting the end product to look like yours do! We could probably film an entire "nailed it" series, of your version, then ours... that would be so funny! Actually I'm gonna search for a "nailed it" video now, i could use a good belly laugh! Cake ones are always hilarious! 😘😘😘
