Making a Large Tag with Flip Down Pocket and Little Note Pad

Welcome back to my channel.
In this video I show you how to make a really cute Tag with a flip down pocket for a sweet little note pad.
The paper that I used is Papermania Capsule Collection, Parisienne Blue. 12 x 12

Spectacular, Gi! How easy to make, but they look difficult! I would love if someone sent me a tag like this - even if it was attached to a greetings card or the like. This video is 3 years old (I'm still trying to plough my way through old videos of yours which I haven't seen), and am wondering if perhaps you should repeat this tutorial, not only for new folks to your channel, and fairly new folks, like myself, but also as a refresher for crafters who might have forgotten about this wondrous little bit of magic you created! Still going through your videos Gi and I keep getting amazed as to what you come up with. You are brilliant for sure my dear. I think these tags would go perfectly in an album as well. I'm making this one as a stand alone for an added little something in a "happy mail" box to a dear little girl. She was telling her parents that she never gets any mail. She's only 8, so I thought I'd make a few handmade projects to send to her via Priority Mail, so she'll think she's special. Of course, to her parents and Grandma she is as well as myself. I love this project! I've made mine using what I had, and the tag was 3 1/8" X 6 1/4" big. I used some lovely pink patterned cardstock, and printed off some vintage roses from the internet. For the tags I used cotton lace in natural colour. I had fun making the little note pad, too! It is fun to make things that you can use! I really love your videos, Gi! These are gorgeous tags Gi, thank you. I bought a couple of small rolls of crepe paper to use as a dye, but nothing happened at all. I was really disappointed. Not sure if it was the paper or if I was doing it wrong.

Thank you so much, I have been lucky, all the crepe paper that I have bough has worked really well. You can see the colour come out of the paper staraight away , so you will know it works. Maybe they have started making it so the colour does not run!, Hugs Gi x

I have a question...when you put glue on the band to hold the pad you set the bottle down without putting the lid back on the glue bottle. Right away....i cant do that..my glue starts having glue come out and run over the top.. Does that happen to you? What kind of glue is that? I use fabric tac.

Lovely idea! You are using different types of glue...... why may I ask?

Hi, I use the glue stick to stick paper to paper or card because I find if I use a wet glue, it runcles up the paper and takes longer to dry. I use the 3 in 1 glue to add larger heavier elements to projects like fabric, beads buttons etc because it is stronger. That is why I used it to stick down the flip pocket. What colour distress ink do you use for you edges please?

Hi Susan, I used Vintage Photo it is an older ink pad, so it not so dark, Hugs Gi x
