It’s a informational sheet that has links to our website and a QR code to “how it work” for the towels. So if it’s a gift they can send that with the gift. The front is us in front of our house.

One key note I’d like to touch on is the display out front with three towels on it, I stand out front demonstrating how our towels work and interact with everyone. We get compliments all the time on this sales technique. I’m a bit of a goofy social butterfly and that has increased our sales by 60-70% Again, thank you!!!

This payment method is interesting. I have never seen it but it makes sense for places like my local market where we pay 10% of sales as booth fees. He doesn’t check. He trusts the vendors . But by this method he would have a lot more control. I bet the food vendors wouldn’t like it much as their clients would have to wait in two lines

Yeah just me personally, never a fan of this method from event organizers. It’s complicated and I don’t like the thought of taking money from vendors basically out of their profits. There are other ways to generate a bit of revenue as an organizer.

Jenifer with Studio 506 here - this event the coordinator takes a percentage of all vendor sales - all vendors have to have their items tagged with name and price. All guests check out at one location and after show coordinator tallies up each vendors tags, and cuts a check to each of the vendors. The food vendors collect their own payments.

I would say no to the buyer paying the promoter as they the promoter could run with all the money. Plus it something does get rung up or scanned correctly your going to have issues.

I wonder if the centralized payment is for the collection and reporting of sales tax. I would love that not to have to handle the tax!!

How do you do inventory with barcodes? Can someone explain the system used and app pls

A lot of vendors will use either Square or Shopify for their bar codes & inventory management. Each one has its own features and perks. I’d recommend checking out both options and seeing what aligns best for the vision you have for your business.

Absolutely NO WAY I'd do a show where my product walks away and my money gets routed thru someone else. Hard pass. ETA... The cooler & water bottles are throwing off the vibe. Those should be hidden IMO.

The event host has one main check out - so customers just have to make 1 payment transaction - and receipts are written up very specific at checkout - all of the different vendors price tags are cut off and we are instructed to have our info clearly labeled - and host cuts a check to all the vendors for their sales - it is VERY well attended and there are product 'holding' areas and multiple food vendors as well. And our tagging system - we use bar codes and we scan every customer items at our booth - to take it out of our inventory and then we DO know exactly what we sold. HA - the coolers, we were so, so, so busy we didn't even realize that they had 'fallen out' from where they were tucked under the table/table cloths.
