The elastic is a brilliant idea for a closure! I've made these for years and never thought about using elastic as a closure. Will certainly use the idea for these and other notebooks/composition books!

Great project. Tyfs. If your art glitter glue is leaving wrinkles it's because you use way too much. Scale back on how much, because it doesnt take very much at all , and you wont have that issue. Everyones different so the tape maybe the better option for you. Always use what you are more comfortable with. Again, thanks for sharing your great projects. Have a great day!

You could even glue some paper tabs/flags on the inside cover. I have one on my desk like that. Very convenient.

I make a similar note pad holder and I place a mini ink pen clipped to the inside spine. I really like your idea of using the chipboard in sections and covering it, they are very professional looking. I’m going to try this, great idea!

Really cute project. I was wondering..what do you do to keep your thin nozzle glue tip from clogging up and I have notice when I put a pin in there it gets all rusty and nasty looking. Any good tips you would have are appreciated.

Mine gets clogged. I usually buy a new tip and try to keep it clean. You can’t use a regular straight pin only the pin that comes with the tip. I did that and it rusted. Hope this helps

I get mine from Amazon. You can also use cereal boxes or other boxes that you have. I have done that also you can't tell the difference once you have them covered.
