I’m pretty sure that “rummage” should be an official crafting term. It’s what we do!😂 I also love that you can’t use certain pieces if you’re not sure you can duplicate them. I do the same thing. I have some eco-prints that will probably be in my stash forever. 🖤

I have my own system: recycled clear plastic trays, each laden with sorted bits of paper, fabric, and lace scraps, netting, cheese cloths, themed stickers, tapes and washi... then stacked. Jewels and other bits stay in their clear boxes with lids. ( my husband buys (nails, screws etc...things that carpenters use), that come in clear small boxes with lids, so he gives the containers to me. Its important to me to stay fairly authentic in repurposing. There are several ways to accomplish this in our junk journal world. I love yard sales too (and roadside finds that are wood and can be restored. I refinish furniture finds and sell them😊) I really love your ample choices for this journal. It will really be lovely and super dreamy girl among flowers, hair blowing in the wind, thinking about kissing a handsome man!😅❤

Apparently, I need a system. This is so much better than things in piles!

Barbara, it looked like you were pulling out a whole lot of things for the journal but once you organized it all it didn’t look like that much. And how cool it all went into those two organizers. Great idea. Can’t wait to see all these things in the journal. TFS! ❤

I do have an ever evolving system and I love to organize and re-organize on a regular basis. It makes me happy and it inspires me to use things that have been stashed away. I have lots of videos showing how my craft space transforms on a regular basis in my limited area. I'm a full time RVer and the back of the trailer is where I spend a lot of my time.

Great organizing system. I use large plastic baskets from the dollar store and just put everything into one and then spend a lot of time digging through the big pieces to get to the smaller ones. I think it’s time I change . Thank you for the inspiration .

Hi Barbara. Funny, but I was thinking the same thing about having to put it all away. I don’t know if that’s a downfall in my way of thinking or not. I think I’m going to pay close attention to your process and see what you do and think, cause honestly I think that we think a lot alike on that. Thanks for taking us through the process so far. ❤😊

This is exactly why I feel so overwhelmed every time I do a journal. Not just when I start, but as I’m going. Because I think ‘oh that would look great’, so I go digging for it and find a bunch of other stuff. It truly is overwhelming. I understand the need to only bring a few items to the table. I just can’t do it!😂 Thank you for sharing how you handled the mountain. I will check the comments and Louise video for more help and ideas. 😂 You are always so inspiring! Hugs ❤️🤗

I have a similar system when choosing for projects I’m working on. My new goal is to find a gorgeous storage organizer to put the selected pieces in so they’re easier to grab when I’m working on each project. ❤ I looooove watching your process. It’s so helpful and inspiring. TFS 😘😘

My little craftspace is a great mess, that's what my family say.... but I know where everything is and where to find it. I store in shoeboxes, little buckets, tins, baskets and fruitcontainers. Once a year I reorganise, because it can be overwhelming and stuff I won't use goes to my favorite thriftstore 😊 I love your idea with the teabox ❤

Fun to see how you determine which types of ephemera you choose for your journal. Love your storage solution. I use recycled plastic blueberry containers along with some dollar store plastic containers. I also have a big boot shoebox that I store my pre-made ephemera in. Can’t wait to see how and what you actually use out of what you chose.😍

Ooh, craft room 'shopping ' time! This is where I overwhelm myself 🙈. I have little bamboo 'baskets' from my clementines (I can't throw them away😄). The stack away neatly then I can fill them with possibilities when I 'shop' before making. then I get my ironing board out and arrange the baskets on top and on the wire shelves underneath🙊. It's just a great way to keep them handy but mobile at the same time. Such GORGEOUS colours 😍. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

My system is to gather things as I work. 😂😂😂 and throw them in a big basket and put it near the journal. Also have an enevelope or zip bag to keep scraps and die cuts in control. When finish I put them in an envelope inside the journal as ephemera bits

Oh no!!!
