Hi! Your craft room is wonderful, you have so much that l want to do. Hubs is being stubborn about putting laminate on the floor, but it would certainly make my life easier! Also, like you, I work better when I can see things and I enjoy the colors so there is very little I have packed away except less frequently used tools and paper (I live in AZ and sun can fade even the best of papers!). I don't use Ikea, I like the Jetmax cubes and Organize More, which has my cubes in lots of colors -- I have lavender and that is very cheering! But I have two questions: 1. Where do you keep your snacks? 2. Do you move to your bigger table areas when you sew? You are making me want to start sewing again, I miss it soooo much! Not enough room in my space, I would have to convert my electronics/framing table to sewing if I did and it's too high! This was a lovely video and I really enjoyed it! You are now Liked, Subscribed and I will get notified about your new vids! Karen

Thanks Karen, appreciate your comments! Your comment about snacks made me laugh - as I have to nibble as I craft - I usually bring these in with me :) I have since altered the room too, I got rid of the top shelves of fabric [now stored under the bed!] and replaced with a small desk, so my sewing machine and serger area now out and ready to go. Do you have a craft room video? I'd love to see yours - I'm addicted to watching craft room tours - so many great ideas I'm consistently changing mine around. We have the same problem with sun/heat/fade, so I try not to leave anything near the large window, but it's difficult. My hubby wasn't keen on laminate either, but it was a much cheaper alternative to wood, which meant I could splash out on the Ikea units.

@@WeekendCraftaholic I am a neophyte in KZbin. I have never posted, I just read and enjoy everyone else's tours and howto vids! I keep my snacks in my craft room as hubs will raid any stash I keep in the kitchen and then complain about my buying them AFTER he eats it! And if I am in my craft room too long, he will come looking for me under the pretense "Do the dogs have to go out?" Well, I may try my mother's method for starting renovation -- she took a hammer one day, knocked all the horsehair plaster off the wall she wanted removed in our 300 year old house and exposed the lathe, and started a 15-year kitchen renovation. I always questioned the logic to it because my father didn't know which end of the hammer you swing with so she had to wait until my oldest brother grew up enough to take care of it. If I take up the rug in my craft room to start the renovation, I have to move everything out and what a pain that would be!!! And I do like the Ikea stuff, but I already have something near 34 cubes and they are all still perfect since 2005! TTFN! km

Hi, tfs. Lovely room . Just discovered your channel. The paper trays that you have in your kallax, those are from ikea right? Do they hold 12x12 papers as well or just the smaller size papers. TIA

Hi, yes! they do hold 12x12, but I find you can't put too much weight on them or they collapse onto each other.

I have found when I put things in boxes thst aren't clear, I never use what's in them. They look cute and neat & tiday, but for ne, its out of sight, out of mind. But, I love your room.

Ellen Hofer you’re absolutely right, I don’t hear them calling me as much and always reach for the fat quarters on top to use. My main thought was to keep it dust free but maybe I need to challenge myself more the pick a box and create from it. Thank you!

What is your paper storage solutions called please? both the ones you have in the cubes and the one hanging on the wall and also the holder that you have your finished cards in. I would really appreciate if you could tell me their names thank you in advance.

Sorry for the delay! Most of it is from Ikea, the cube units are Kallax, and you can add on with drawers, doors etc. The one on the wall was also Ikea, unsure of name, was around AU$20. My finished cards are in a little holder from Kmart, was only AU$4, I love it :) Thank you!
