@Chris Wooten everything is listed over on my blog. With links directly to each item. Go to my Craft Room Tour post and scroll all the way to the botttom. You will find my supply list there. The risers are from Ikea. They are called Capita. The 6x6 paper storage is from World Market. I have a link to that as well over on my blog. My supply list wouldn't fit here in the description of this video. But please read the video description for my website. LEt me know if you have any problems. I might be able to add the links in a comment. Or at least tell you which row it's located in or something.

The ink pad labels; a KZbinr named K Werner Design has a video on them called "Craft Room Organization - Ink Pad Labels". I hope those are the ones, they look somewhat identical. Although I don't see why you couldn't DIY those on sticker paper (removable sticker paper too) using your Silhouette or your Scan-n-Cut.

I find the more organized we are, it leads to more crafting time with fewer distractions. Never apologize for what you have. You deserve what makes you happy! Thanks for sharing, I have learned much from watching. I know this is an older post, but I’m sorry you lost your sweet Taffy. Losing our pets is so hard, but I’m so glad you have those paw prints. Well thank you for your kind words, Shelley. It took me a year or so to plan out exactly what I wanted because I knew I could only afford to do it once and the risers and drawers were at the top of my wishlist, for sure. Both are so useful!! Your craftroom inspires creativity. I’m not buying anymore paper pads myself, I need to use up what I have first. New subscriber and big thumbs up. 😊

It amazes me too!! The woman doing the room tour was so sweet and it really made me mad that someone was being so nasty towards her. I just don't get it... Nope, no more paper pads for me either. This room is actually helping me to not buy more stuff. I love my craft room just the way it is and I don't want it feeling over stuffed again. That's something I didn't expect. These stamp companies make it hard though with new release every month... Well thanks so much for watching and subscribing. I really appreciate you.

I watched your video and love what your room looks like. Your storage ideas offered me some good ideas on how to use my space. Then I went to bed and when I awoke I put on the computer and it opened to your view of your old space and I thought I was in the wrong time zone and watched in wonder of what was going on. After about 45 seconds I pressed the button to go back to the last video that I viewed and realized that was your old space. Now I really think your room is fantastic! You must be so happy creating in this space! Happy for you! And honestly your old room has inspired me to go through my space more and purge what does not belong!

Hi Lois!! Thank you so much for your dear comment. I do miss my fur babies very much. I was actually thinking I could handle going to the Humane Society and adopting another little bundle of joy this weekend, but I just got news that one of my other cats won't be around much longer (he's got cancer in his tummy) so I've put the adoption on the back burner for now. As much as I love adopting animals, I just can't handle losing them!! I am sooooo happy that my links helped you. You are exactly the reason I do that. If I can help any of my viewers find something, I am happy to do so. I'm hoping you went to my blog post and not just the few I've listed in this video description, am I right? It really does. I was just recently in the hospital for a week and when I came home, my hubby was cleaning the house (which I love him so much for) but when I walked down the hall and opened my craft room door to see that I had left it nice and clean, now THAT was a feeling of pure joy!! LOL I think because I had been saving for this for so long and had all that time to plan it out, I knew I wasn't going to be able to do this again any time soon so I HAD to get it right. I did LOTS of research and spent a lot of time on Pinterest. All of that combined is why I'm so proud of this room. AND it's something my hubby and I did together which makes it that much more special. =) It truly is my happy place.

BEST COMPLIMENT EVER!!!! Wow, thank you, Mary!! You just made my day!! I'm so sorry I didn't reply sooner. I've been in and out of the hospital for the last month, so I'm a little behind on replying. The glue syringe is a dream!! It not only allows great precision, but it doesn't ever dry out (as long as you keep the cap on). I've tried soooo many of those clog free precision tips and they all dried out on me. I will never buy another non clogging precision tip again. I highly recommend it. There's a link in the video description to the gal's Etsy site that I get them from. As for the ginormous roll of foam tape, I got that from Amazon. Stencil brushes I use are called Clarity Brushes. If you go to my blog post here, I have links to everything I could find at the bottom of the post. happyinkdesigns.wordpress.com/2019/05/25/craft-room-tour-video/ . I hope that helps. Your room is amazing! I must admit im a little jealous, its a dream. Im new to craftig and on a very low budget its either spend my little bit on organization or buy crafty goodies to try something new. So far the goodies have win but Im sure once I actually accumulate a "stash " that organization will become important. Congrats on the new space. No need to apologize for filming. We all need to spread kindness and positivity. Ignore those that chose to try and bring one down, its sad but some only know negativity and are miserable. Your hair is beautiful btw. Tyfs!
@MistyElam5 жыл бұрын
Hi, Darlene!! I remember being in that EXACT same position. Spend the little I had on crafty goodness, or spend it on "making a craft room". GO FOR THE CRAFTY GOODNESS!!! The organization is optional... =) LOL I couldn't agree with you more about spreading more kindness and positivity. And on very note, I'm going to be giving away some of the supplies I've accumulated but never touched. I just haven't quite decided how to go about it yet. I'm taking a lot of the big stuff to goodwill today, that came out of my craft room, but I want to give away some of the smaller items. So as soon as I figure that out, I'll share it here on YT. I just really appreciate that you and all these other people actually take the time to watch my videos and leave me such wonderful, positive feedback. It fills me heart every time. So I’m working on that. =)

Great room! I haven't been able to get into mine and working at the kitchen table and I have been taking everything out going through it boxing it up so I can redo my room!! I told my husband I needed not only more storage but a new work station that would fit in the corner of the room! I see so many people using those legs on there stations and desks but can you sit in a chair and work with them? I am not a stand up crafter.. I have to sit while I craft because of my back and legs now.

Hi there!! I'm so sorry I didn't respond sooner. I'm not sure if you've seen any of my other videos, but I was suffering from health issues all year up until June so I'm still trying to play catch up on everything. You may have already redid you whole space by now, it's been so long. But just in case you haven't, yes you can still sit at the ikea desks although you might need a higher than normal chair. Like a barstool or I think the chair I use is called a drafting chair. It can go high or low. If you noticed in my video, the right part of my desk is high enough to stand at (or sit), but the left part is as low as a normal desk and my chair works for both. I don't stand too often either so a drafting chair is perfect. I hope that helps.

Thanks for the video, got some good ideas, I have a small corner in the garage where my husband and I share a space.. so watching different vids to get storage ideas, & organization. Things to motivate me but make it functional. Anyway I've seen the table propped up like that in some and I have an extra top in storage, since we moved two years ago there's no space, but I would love to do that to mine. How did you prop those tops on top of the other table like that? The risers? Are they screwed on? Do the legs come small like that? My tables are Alex from IKEA and I see they are what is used majority of them anyway.. and would love to get that extra room for my trimmers and stuff. Can I get those risers from IKEA? Thank you and even though its later I am sorry about your cat. I had mine for 14 years and had to move and couldn't take her with me. I miss her 5 years later still.

Hey, a small corner is better than no corner, right? 😉 Yes, I got them at Ikea. I have links to everything in my blog post, if you want to be taken directly to them. Just scroll down to the bottom and look for Capita. That's what they're called. happyinkdesigns.wordpress.com/2019/05/25/craft-room-tour-video/ They are definitely one of my best purchases.
I just watched your before and it gave me hope! 😬😉 I’ve gotten really good at thinking I should organize and clean up then I’ll go to IKEA or on amazon and buy some really cool organizing bins or cabinet and then I tell myself I’m done for the day, I’ll get to work cleaning up tomorrow 🤦🏼♀️😔

WHAT?!?! You don't really make cards anymore?!!? Is that a thing??? just kidding, I hear ya. It can be very time consuming. I want to try and treat it like a job so that I'm not in my happy place night and day. My hubby was starting to forget what I looked like. =) If it were just me, I would be in there night and day, but being in the hospital always makes me realize what I'm missing out on being in my cave all of the time. Man, there's gotta be someone that would LOVE to put your supplies to good use. You don't know any other cardmakers in your area? I don't. I don't know anyone that makes cards like I do where I live. What about selling some of it? At least make a little money back...? I miss chatting with you too, my friend. I would say we can still chat on Facebook, but I never get on Facebook... I want to try and be more active in creative groups on there so hopefully I'll be on there more often. I'll poke in and say hey from time to time. =) . Thanks so much for watching, Shauna. Your room looks amazing Misty! So organized and so pretty looking. I too, am loving that thing you have to hold your 6x6 pads in, how perfect for them. I don't think any machine is without it's issues though, but I have been happy with my Cricut's. Did you get the risers at IKEA as well? I too like those as it does give extra space. You know, I was happy in my cluttered space. There’s nothing wrong with that. But then the room kind of took over and it just felt.... overwhelming. It made me feel anxious and that wasn’t what I wanted to feel in my craft room. So if you feel creative and content in your space, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. 😊 When I stopped feeling inspired, that’s when I started to plan out a change and started saving for it. So I think it just depends on how you feel in your space. 💜💜

@MistyElam5 жыл бұрын
It can get very overwhelming very quick. It didn’t work for me because I live in a very small town, but searching for salvaged cabinets might be something to look into...? It could be an inexpensive option. Even if only temporary until you have time to plan it all out. I think that’s why I was able to create the space I had envisioned, because I took the time to research and plan it all out for quite awhile and during that time, I was able to save some money aside to make it all happen. Well good luck with your space. I’m sure you’ll be happy in your space no matter what you do. 😊

Hi Tiffany!! I only wish I were that organized with the rest of my life... LOL I'm working on it. =) Thank you!! Ya know, I've had amazing feedback from both my before and after video, no nasty comments. But there was a woman who did exactly what I did, just sharing her space and more than 1 person took the time to leave her unpleasant remarks. The most ridiculous one being that she was breathing too heavily into the microphone and that it was really annoying. I empathized with her because at least for me, I felt very vulnerable opening up a part of my home for anyone to see, especially my "before" video. And to have even 1 person criticize what she was doing, was really sad to me. Anyway, that's what was on my mind when I said that. So far I've had only positive feedback, thankfully, but I open myself up to criticism too when I make the decision to share this information. And I totally agree with ya, that's their problem, not the one sharing her home with us. I just felt bad for her, ya know what I mean? I did some research on craft room tours before I filmed mine and the shaking of the camera was another complaint. If you don't like it, no one is forcing you to watch it, right???? Some people, I tell ya... Thanks so much for watching my video, Tiffany. I really appreciate you taking the time. P.S. Sorry it's taken me so long to respond, I've been in and out of the hospital for the past month and I'm just now catching up on my comments. Take care ~

So very sorry for the loss of your cat. It’s amazing how strangely empty and quiet the house seems after, even if you still have other pets or children, theirs just such a void😢. When I started crafting it was 30 years ago I was making cards with stamps before it was really a thing. I don’t do that much, if ever, anymore. My latest bender is junk journal making, art journaling, painting and a bunch of other things. I’m alone here in the only one who wanted to see how you used your drawers under your desk. I was thinking of getting them for under my counters and curious how you stored your supplies in them.

I read through the list and the comments and did not see my question addressed. Where did you get the clear sliding trays that are in some of your Alex drawers? I bought a couple packages of clear, divided trays (2 sets of 3 trays) that look like they are meant to slide over drawers to make them multi-layer, but they didn't allow the drawers to close. Currently I have them stacked in my wide Alex drawer unit, but I had wanted to use them for easy access to small embellishments. I love how clean and organized your room is, and subbed to your channel in hopes of making my smaller room look similar. Off to see the before video, which may resemble my creative chaos!

My question is, what’s with the tazer? Love your space and how wonderfully organized it is.

Thanks, Sherry! As for the stun gun or tazer, I keep one in my purse when I go out of town by myself. I have one in my nightstand as well, just in case. It's just for protection as opposed to a firearm.

That’s awesome, I hope you never have to use it.

Sherry Graham thanks, me too!! I had someone watching me load up my car when we were out of town once and as soon as my car was loaded and I went back to check our hotel room for anything I might’ve left, they broke out two of my windows and stole everything out of my vehicle. That terrified me that I was being watched and I had no idea. So having some thing like a taser just makes me feel a tiny bit safer. Everything was replaceable except they got my laptop and an external hard drive that I had in my computer bag which had every photo and video from the time my son was born until he was about eight years old on it. That was irreplaceable and of course I never got it back. We actually chased the people that did it while I was on the phone with the cops but the cops told me to stop because we just didn’t know if they had weapons on them and we had two kids in the car so we let them go. The good news is they were eventually caught but none of my items were recovered. 😒 All I cared about was that hard drive. I would’ve paid THEM just to get it back...

Absolutely!! Unfortunately I haven’t been crafting in about a year thanks to awful health problems but as soon as I’m able, I will be back in there. But yes, I definitely felt more creative knowing where everything is and what I have, it inspired me for sure. I think just having a clean space and knowing it would be pretty quick to clean up, I found myself trying new things that maybe I wouldn’t have before.

Hi Janneke!! I actually looked for it, but I can't find it... I might have just deleted it knowing I wasn't going to use it. =(
